Care is more than just meeting needs — it’s about weaving a tapestry of kindness, comfort, and belonging. It’s the gentle touch that says, “You are seen, you are valued, you are home.”
It’s listening to the stories that make each person unique, honoring the little things that bring joy, and supporting independence with a loving hand.
Here, care is a warm embrace, a soft place to rest, and a light that brightens every day. It’s not just a house — it’s a home where hearts are cherished and lives are gently transformed.
Welcome to a place where care feels like family.

New Year at Cozy Nook

A Place Where Care Feels Like Home

The New Year doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.
Sometimes it arrives softly—through consistency, warmth, and the simple promise that someone will be there tomorrow.

At Cozy Nook, the New Year means recommitting to what matters most: dignity, safety, and genuine human care. This is not a facility driven by volume or speed. It is a home. A place where routines are honored, meals are made with intention, and each resident is seen as a whole person—not a task list.

As we step into this year, our focus remains steady:
• Calm, predictable days
• Respectful, attentive care
• A home environment where families can breathe again, knowing their loved one is truly cared for

The future doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful.
Sometimes, the most powerful care is quiet, consistent, and deeply human.

If you are looking for a place where care feels personal—where your loved one is not just housed, but known—this year may be the right time to reach out.

The holidays are about more than decorations and meals—they’re about feeling safe, seen, and cared for.

At Cozy Nook, our home is built on comfort, routine, and dignity.
We believe every person deserves a peaceful place to land, especially during this time of year.

As we celebrate the season, we’re grateful for the trust placed in us and the simple moments that make a house feel like home—shared meals, laughter, and quiet evenings.

From our home to yours, we wish you a season filled with warmth, kindness, and gentle moments that matter.

Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambiguous loss".
As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today.
Hold your finger on the post to copy and paste to your timeline.
A special thank you to anyone willing to put this on their timeline for Dementia Awareness Week!

As the crisp air rolls in an the leaves begin to turn, fall invites us to slow down and sip something warm, and enjoy life's simple beauty. But we forget that whatever season older adults have a higher risk of falls- especially at home, were most accidents happen. Here are some fee thoughtful steps that we can take and make for the safety of our out home.

Clear the Pathways
Clutter loves to gather in hallways and around favorite chair. Loose shoes, stacked magazine, or even a stray pet toy can become a trip hazard. Take a few minutes to talk through your home and make sure each path is wide and clear. Think of it a making room for peace and mind.

Light the Way
as days get shorter, lighting becomes eve more important. Add brighter bults in areas like stairs, hallways and entryways. A small night light in the bathroom or along the path to the kitchen can make all the difference during late- night trips.

Secure Rugs and Cords
Rugs ad warmth- but unsecured once can slip. use non-skid pads or double sided rug tape to keep them firmly in place. tuck away any cords or wires that cross the walking areas.

Choose Support, not Strain
Install grab bars in bathroom near the toilet and in the shower. handrails on both sides of the stairs can also offer extra confidence. if balance feels uncertain, use a sturdy cane or walker, its not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom.

Dress for Stability
Comfort is key. but so is support. Choose shoes with non- slip soles and avoid walking in socks on smooth floors. A cozy fair of house shoes with good grip keeps you both warm and grounded,

Keep Moving
Balance improves when you stay active. Gentle exercise like stretching. walking or chair yoga can strengthen legs and core muscle- your natural defense against falls.

Keep a phone or alert device close by in case you need help. let family or neighbors know to check-in in occasionally, especially if you live alone.

This fall, lets make safety part of the season. Enjoy your walks, your cozy afternoon and your pies- without worry. your home can be both peaceful and protective when you take simple steps now.

Stay steady, stay safe and keep enjoying the beauty of every fall, every season that come your way.
