Meet Dali! šŸ¤ Here are 10 fun facts to help you get to know her a little better!

1.) Wife for 20 years. If I could tell every young person one thing, it would be to choose your partner wisely.

2.) Mother to two teenage boys. You can find us on a football field, basketball court, or baseball field depending on the season.

3.) Birth doula. I am mesmerized by the miracle of life.

4.) Farm girl born and raised. It’s where my love of birth first ignited.

5.) Educator. I have worked in public schools for 10 years.

6.) Adventurer. Mountains, the ocean and everything in between.

7.) Book nerd. I love to read! I dream of being a Librarian and reading to little kids, in my library, coffee shop, plant store. šŸ“š ā˜•ļø 🪓

8.) Sunsets over sunrises. Only because I love to sleep in!

9.) Acts of Service is my love language. I have a servants heart. I believe that we were put here to serve one another.

10.) Empath. I feel deeply and am deeply affected by other people’s emotions.

There’s something I’ve always said yes to without hesitation—showing up for women in birth.

But in this season, I’m being asked to show up differently.

With four babies at home and a first responder husband who serves our community on a 48-hour shift rotation, I’ve had to face the reality that I can’t be on-call the way birth work requires right now.

And that hasn’t been easy to admit.

Birth has my heart. Always will.

But so does being fully present for my own babies—and in this season, that has to come first.

So I’m stepping out of full-time, on-call doula work.

Not because I’ve lost the passion… but because I’ve built something bigger than just me.

This doesn’t mean I’m gone.

It means I’m stepping into a new role—leading and supporting our incredible Thrive Birth Co. doulas, pouring into our community, and staying closely involved behind the scenes.

This team? They are everything I’d want in a doula—women I trust deeply to serve you with the same care and support I always have.

Thrive isn’t slowing down… it’s growing.

I’ll still step in for very special situations when it aligns, but for now, you’ll see me building and leading something really special over here.

If you’re looking for a doula, I’m still here—and I’d love to connect you with the right one šŸ¤

The moments you almost miss become the ones you never want to forget.

Birth photography holds onto the in-between—the first grasp, the quiet connection, the beginning of everything. Not posed, not perfect… just real. šŸ¤

Our birth photographers move quietly in the background—like a fly on the wall—capturing your story as it naturally unfolds. No interruptions, no staging… just honest, intentional documentation of your baby’s first moments.

If this is something you never want to forget, let’s make sure it’s preserved. Reach out today to book your birth with one of our photographers.

Meet Ashley! šŸ¤ Here are 10 fun facts to help you get to know her a little better!

1. Proud firefighter wife — yes, the adrenaline is basically part of the marriage package. šŸš’

2. Mama to FOUR little ones, all age 5 and under… which means my days are loud, full, and beautifully chaotic. šŸ˜…

3. Nashville raised, Boise planted since 2016 — and if we ever meet, my southern accent will absolutely introduce itself before I do. šŸ˜

4. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design… which basically means I consider some interior decisions a true crime. šŸ’šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

5. I’m a birth doula, and nothing lights me up more than helping mamas walk into birth feeling confident, supported, and powerful. šŸ¤

6. I’m also a photographer — what started as a ā€œjust for funā€ hobby quickly grew into a deep, heart-led passion I’m so grateful for. šŸ“ø

7. I’m a Christian — saved by grace and forever grateful that Jesus made a way for redemption, hope, and new life. āœļø

8. Give me crisp mountain air and cozy winter days over beach heat any time. I will die on this hill. šŸ”ļø

9. My favorite color is green… which explains approximately 87% of my life choices. 🌿

10. Country music girl through and through — if there’s a twang, I’m turning it up. 🤠

A newborn doesn’t need to be taken away to stabilize.

Most of the time…
they stabilize here.

On their mother’s chest.

Skin-to-skin helps regulate temperature, breathing, heart rate, and supports the instinctive first latch.

Sometimes the best care is simply not interrupting the design.

Somewhere along the way, many women were taught that birth is something you quietly go along with… something you endure… something you just get through.

But birth was never meant to silence women.

Your voice matters.
Your instincts matter.
Your comfort matters.

And you deserve to be surrounded by people who remind you of that when it matters most.

Your birth belongs to you. šŸ¤

There’s a moment in almost every birth.

A moment where she looks up—exhausted, shaking, overwhelmed—and says,

ā€œI can’t do this.ā€

And every experienced birth worker in the room knows something she doesn’t know yet…

That moment almost always comes right before everything shifts.

Right before she finds strength she didn’t know she had.
Right before her body takes over.
Right before she realizes she’s stronger than the doubt creeping into her mind.

Birth asks more of women than almost anything else in life.

And yet, over and over again, women rise to meet it.

Sometimes they just need someone in the room reminding them:

ā€œYou’re safe.ā€
ā€œYou’re doing it.ā€
ā€œYou’re closer than you think.ā€

It’s one of the greatest honors of being a doula—
standing beside a woman in the moment she believes she can’t…

and watching her prove to herself that she can.

Not just an organ — a lifeline.

The placenta grows with your baby,
working quietly behind the scenes to deliver oxygen, nutrients, and protection throughout pregnancy.

After birth, its job is complete…
but its story is worth understanding.

Because when we learn how the body works,
birth becomes a little less mysterious
and a lot more powerful. šŸ¤
