Thank you to Boise Mom for the kind feature. I’m excited to be back from maternity leave and look forward to continuing to serve and support fellow mamas. Your support is greatly appreciated!
Dr. Alina Wright, a brand-new mom herself, is quickly realizing how essential "me time" and self-care truly are in the postpartum period. At seven weeks postpartum, she has navigated a series of challenges, from a planned C-section to recovery that has been anything but smooth. Despite the procedure going as well as it could, the recovery has involved an emergency room visit (thankfully, everything turned out fine), struggles with breastfeeding, high blood pressure, sleepless nights, and the realities of recovering from major abdominal surgery. The journey has been overwhelming at times.
Throughout this experience, the support Dr. Wright has received from healthcare professionals has been invaluable, and she is deeply grateful for it. As a physical therapist, Dr. Wright is passionate about supporting other mothers through the challenges they face — whether it's pelvic floor care, recovery after surgery, returning to activities like running, pilates, or hiking, or assisting babies with issues like torticollis or delayed milestones. There is no greater feeling than knowing that a baby is okay.
With maternity leave nearing its end, Dr. Wright looks forward to returning to her work and giving back to the incredible community of women she has had the privilege of being a part of. If anyone needs support, she is here to help.
