Many people know me as a pelvic floor and postpartum specialist—and yes, I love supporting moms in their recovery. But what you may not know is that before I became a physical therapist, I was a professional ballet dancer 🩰

Ballet required precision, endurance, and a high threshold for pain—all of which uniquely shape how I work with athletic clients today.

This recent review perfectly captured that connection.

Whether you’re river surfing, running, or returning to a sport you love, I approach your care with both clinical expertise and firsthand experience. My goal is always long-term results—not just short-term relief.

You deserve to feel strong, capable, and confident in your body—no matter the season you’re in.

April is C-Section Awareness Month, and this year, it hits different—I became a C-section mama myself just a few months ago.

As a pelvic floor physical therapist, I thought I knew what to expect… but living it has deepened my perspective in ways no textbook ever could. I wrote a blog sharing real recovery tips and honest reflections for fellow C-section moms—because you deserve support, too.

If you’re in the Boise area and looking for postpartum care, I’d be honored to help you heal. I’m currently accepting new patients—reach out to book an eval, and keep an eye out for more C-section recovery tips coming soon!

Hi mamas!

As a brand new mom, I’m quickly realizing how important “me time” and self-care really are — postpartum recovery is no joke. I had a planned C-section, which went as smoothly as it could, but the recovery has been a bit of a rollercoaster. From an emergency room visit for significant bleeding (thankfully everything is okay), to struggling with breastfeeding, dealing with high blood pressure, sleepless nights, and recovering from major abdominal surgery, it’s been overwhelming at times.

The support I’ve received from healthcare professionals has been my lifeline, and I’m so grateful for it. As a physical therapist, I’m passionate about supporting other mamas through whatever challenges come their way — whether it’s pelvic floor care, recovery after surgery, returning to the activities you love (running, pilates, hiking, etc.), or helping your baby with things like torticollis or delayed milestones - there’s no better feeling than knowing your baby is ok.

I’m so excited to return from maternity leave and give back to the amazing community of women you all are. If you need support, I’m here for you. 💕

Thank you to Boise Mom for the kind feature. I’m excited to be back from maternity leave and look forward to continuing to serve and support fellow mamas. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Dr. Alina Wright, a brand-new mom herself, is quickly realizing how essential "me time" and self-care truly are in the postpartum period. At seven weeks postpartum, she has navigated a series of challenges, from a planned C-section to recovery that has been anything but smooth. Despite the procedure going as well as it could, the recovery has involved an emergency room visit (thankfully, everything turned out fine), struggles with breastfeeding, high blood pressure, sleepless nights, and the realities of recovering from major abdominal surgery. The journey has been overwhelming at times.

Throughout this experience, the support Dr. Wright has received from healthcare professionals has been invaluable, and she is deeply grateful for it. As a physical therapist, Dr. Wright is passionate about supporting other mothers through the challenges they face — whether it's pelvic floor care, recovery after surgery, returning to activities like running, pilates, or hiking, or assisting babies with issues like torticollis or delayed milestones. There is no greater feeling than knowing that a baby is okay.

With maternity leave nearing its end, Dr. Wright looks forward to returning to her work and giving back to the incredible community of women she has had the privilege of being a part of. If anyone needs support, she is here to help.

One month (and a little more) with our precious Charlie Louise. She arrived on January 10th at 7:53am, weighing 6lbs 15oz, via a planned C-Section. Although we hoped she’d flip from her breech position, she had her own plans. Thankfully, the birth went as smoothly as we could have hoped for.

Recovery has had its ups and downs — from feeding challenges to adjusting to a newborn sleep schedule, along with some unexpected bleeding. But despite the hurdles, we are beyond grateful to be healthy, safe, and in such a good place now.

We’ve been soaking in this precious time as a family in our little baby bubble, which has meant stepping away from social media for a while. I can’t thank you enough for your patience and understanding as I embrace this new chapter of parenthood. I’ll be back with as my maternity leave comes to a close.

I’m still checking messages when I can, so please feel free to reach out. In the meantime, I’m savoring every cuddle and overwhelmed by the deep love that only a new baby can bring. ❤️

Thank you Boise Mom! We love serving our Boise community.

➡️ Plagiocephaly: flattening of the skull
➡️ Restricted neck and body movement
➡️ Delays in motor milestones
