Proud of our team for a wonderful presentation on trauma-informed care in hospice at the Treasure Valley Veterans Hospice Coalition quarterly meeting. Compassion, empathy, and professionalism are in action. Grateful to work with such an amazing group of people. 🦋

Today one of our nurses, Connie, shared a story that perfectly captures the heart of hospice. 💙 🦋

On Christmas Eve, after spending time with her family, she went home knowing she would be waking up alone on Christmas morning. She admitted she felt a little dark… a little lonely. Then she stopped herself and thought, “Enough with the poor me. How can I bring joy to someone else today?”

Almost instantly, she knew. She picked up the phone and called one of our memory care communities to see if they needed any help with Christmas dinner for their residents. Their answer?
“Deviled eggs.”

So she whipped up her best deviled eggs, threw on an ugly Christmas sweater, and showed up—ready to pitch in, serve, and spread a little joy to residents who so deeply deserved it.

This is hospice. 💙🦋
It’s compassion in action.
It’s choosing service over self.
It’s understanding that while we come to support our patients and our facility partners, they give us just as much—if not more—joy in return.

Our patients, residents, and the incredible staff in our communities remind us daily why this work matters. We are honored to walk alongside them, especially during the holidays. 🎄

We’re stepping into the holiday spirit with our Holiday Sock Contest—because a little fun goes a long way. From festive patterns to over-the-top cheer, these socks are bringing smiles, laughter, and connection to our team.

Hospice is about comfort, compassion, and honoring life—and that includes creating moments of happiness for one another along the way. When our team is supported and uplifted, that warmth carries directly to the patients and families we serve.

Proof that even the smallest things—like a cozy pair of socks—can make a big difference. 🎄🧦 🦋

Last weekend, our incredible Social Services team, Shannon and Willow, were out in the community spreading joy, kindness, and connection—and they weren’t alone. Our beloved therapy dog, Tag, went along too, bringing extra smiles, comfort, and tail wags wherever they went. 🐾💙

The holidays can be especially tender for those facing serious illness or loss. In hospice care, we know it’s not just about medical support—it’s about presence, compassion, and reminding people they are not alone. With Tag by their side, Shannon and Willow helped create moments of warmth, calm, and joy that truly touched hearts.

Small moments of connection—whether through a gentle conversation or a furry friend’s loving presence—can make a big difference, especially during the holiday season. We are so proud of this team and grateful for the love they share with our community.

Because hospice is about living fully, loving deeply, and caring always. 🦋

🎅There’s a special kind of magic that happens this time of year — and today Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Auburn Crest Hospice elves brought that magic out into our community. ✨

We spent the day delivering smiles, warm greetings, and a reminder of what this season is truly about: connection, compassion, and showing up for one another.

In hospice, we have the privilege of walking beside families during some of life’s most tender moments. And today, our team wanted to share a little extra joy with the people who support us year-round — our partners in care, our healthcare community, and the wonderful individuals who make what we do possible.
