Animal Medical Center

Animal Medical Center is a small animal practice with some equine as well. In 1976 Dr. Donna Lois Peterson founded and created Animal Medical Center.

With special interest in dentistry, dermatology, and orthopedic surgery including TPLO. She served Boise for 33 years and in 2009 she retired and Dr. Dan Gillis took over the practice. Animal Medical Center is a general practice veterinary clinic and does 95 percent small animal and 5 percent equine. The doctors at Animal Medical Center have special interests in general practice, surgery, ultrasound, and dentistry. Our mission is to provide the best medical and surgical care for our patients while providing excellent customer service to our clients. We accept all major credit cards including Care Credit.

Dr. Gillis, Dr. Pearson, Dr. Gonzenbach and most of the staff volunteered their time on Sunday to support Happy Jack Cats, Inc. for our annual Spay It Forward Idaho clinic. 38 cats in total were either spayed or neutered!

Sometimes our technicians don’t get enough credit for the behind the scenes work they do. From cleaning to taking x-rays, drawing blood, running anesthesia to picking up p**p. It’s not all glamorous. But they do it because their passion is your pets. We love them too!

We will be hosting Happy Jack Cats on Feb 16th for a spay and neuter clinic. All of our doctors and staff volunteer their time for this clinic once a year.
