Who I Am. How I Work.

I come to the massage world from the art and creative fields. I studied and graduated with a degree in Art (painting) from Boise State and have worked in various creative jobs throughout my life. I lived San Francisco for a number of years, which is where I met my husband David. There, I worked for Aveda Corporation, who instilled in me the desire to become a massage therapist. So when I moved back to Boise, I began studying massage at the Idaho School of Massage Therapy.

In my massage practice, I work with the whole person: mind, body and spirit. I do this by combining my in-depth knowledge and understanding of human anatomy and body systems with my intuition, empathy and experience. While I do all types of massage, my passion is deep tissue work (working on the deeper muscles and tissues that can cause pain and stiffness). I specialize in helping relieve the muscular dysfunction and imbalances that have come from stress, injury and overuse. I use various modalities (like trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cross-fiber work, and neuromuscular techniques) to achieve my goals of helping restore wellness to my clients. I like to teach and involve you in your own path to wellness and healing.
