I absolutely love being a massage detective with my chronic pain clients! I bring my own experiences with headaches, migraines, tight and stiff neck and shoulders, plus TMJ dysfunction. A few weeks ago I was experiencing a tightening up of the primary muscle of chewing (mastication) on my right jaw. I then had my cheek swell up. I discovered that it was likely due to a swollen saliva gland in my cheek. So I pulled out my disposable gloves, laid down and created this brand new massage that gently relaxes the masseter muscle in the jaw. I have since then used this same technique with a few of my TMJD clients. The feedback from them as been amazing! I created a video tutorial and blog post on my website. It goes live tomorrow. I am sending an email newsletter to my self massage and moving well group tomorrow.

I'll add the link to this blogpost here tomorrow!
