Let’s play a game! 🎶🐾

When the music plays… we dance, we gallop, we fly!
When the music stops… we find a new mat and try something new.
This is one of my favorite yoga games—and the kids LOVE it!

This week’s wild & wonderful yoga adventures included:
🌊 Water Breath (like waves or rivers flowing)
🔥 Fire Breath (sparky & energizing!)
🏔️ Mountain Pose (strong and steady)
🦉 Owl Pose (wise & twisty)
🌳 Tree Pose (a whole forest of us swaying!)
✨ Shapeshifter Card (free choice = magic unlocked)
🐎 Horse Medicine (galloping joyfully around the circle)
🐻‍❄️ Polar Bear Pose & Voice (brrrrr!)
🐺 Call of the Wild (howling into the sky!)

These kids show me every week how fun, freeing, and deeply connecting yoga can be when we let our imaginations lead the way. 💫

These two little dragon girls give me a run for my treasure 🐉💦💖

From big splashes to brave jumps, every moment in the water is a cosmic adventure—filled with giggles, growth, and soul-level confidence building. These girls bring the full field—playful chaos, radiant joy, deep feelings, and wild hearts that test and teach the water temple just as much as they’re being taught. They remind me that trust, presence, and magic are the real curriculum.

Mondays (Privates & Semi-Privates only):
🕔 5:10 PM – 1 opening | Ages 5–8 | Comfortable in water, learning technique & rolling for breath
🕠 5:40 PM – 1 opening | Stroke Class | Freestyle, backstroke & butterfly technique
🕕 6:10 PM – 1 opening | Ages 7+ | Gentle beginner support, including fear & learning to submerge
🕡 6:40 PM – 1 private lesson opening | Any age/level

Wednesdays (Semi-Private & Group only):

🌞🎨🦁 Today felt like a dreamscape of soft wonder and wild play…

We gathered slowly under the sun,
✨ Listened to seashells and heard the ocean inside our hearts
🦋 Moved like animals through the grass and paused in stillness like sacred statues
🎶 Danced in and out of rhythm with the wind
Then the space unfolded into magic…

White chalk on black paper became a portal.
Drums pulsed through the soil.
And paint—oh, the paint!
It found cheeks, bellies, arms, and smiles.
One child painted a lion, and I smiled, feeling seen.

This is what I live to create:
Spaces where children are free to be wild, soft, expressive, and safe.
Where parents can exhale. Where magic finds its way through play.

Purple Dragon Swimming is up and running for the season — and it’s already sparkling with magic, laughter, and soul.

We are not your typical swim school.
We are a whole-being water temple for children.
We teach from the inside out — gently, respectfully, and in harmony with each child’s unique rhythm.

Guess what?!?
In just a couple weeks… Purple Dragon Children’s Collective returns to the water — and I couldn’t be more excited!

I’m a very yin teacher — gentle, attuned, and naturally gifted at helping children become one with the water, the cosmos, and their own inner rhythms. As they soften into trust, a natural confidence begins to bloom. And that’s when the yang arrives — bursting through like sunlight ☀️ — curious, brave, and ready to try something new!

Each class becomes a living adventure. I weave in play, creativity, and imagination so every moment is infused with magic. Games become gateways to new skills, and laughter is often the soundtrack of our lessons.

To support deeper learning, I incorporate breathwork, gentle bodywork (inspired by craniosacral therapy), and lots of creative storytelling. It’s not just swim class — it’s water alchemy.

Offerings include:
🧜🏿‍♀️Group + Private Swimming Instruction
🧜🏿‍♀️Keiki Kids — for children with fear or trauma around water, held in a nurturing, sensory-safe space
🧜🏿‍♀️Mermaid Classes — swim with monofins, play underwater games, and co-create magical content as sea beings

🧜🏿‍♀️And for the grown-ups…
I’m beginning to offer Mermaid Retreats — sacred weekends at hot springs where we dive into adventure, bodywork, soulwork, and underwater photography. It’s an invitation to remember the water priestess within.

Yay! Today is the first day for Spring Break Camp!
All genders, ages 8-12 are invited ♥️

We will begin indoors with yoga and movement and laughter and creativity, and we will end outdoors with exploration and curiosity and sensory stations along the outdoor foothills extension.

Our itinerary looks like this:
*1:45 meet at The Yoga Tree, Open Art + Yoga Stations
*2:00 Ice Breaker and Group Game
*2:15 - Yoga and Dance: Asana, Pranayama, Dhyana, Dharana
*3:00 Yoga Stations and a Creative Element
*3:30 Shavasana and Energywork
*3:45 Snack
*4:00 Hike, Sensory Adventure, Outdoor Education
*5:00 Circle back up at Yoga Tree
*5:15 Farewell Friends!

Do it again; big breath in … cool it off …
Now set your soup down, and we will say our soup is
“Ha ha ha ha hottttttttt!”
Do it again l, take a deep breath and say it is
“Ha ha ha ha hottttt!”
Big breath and “ha ha ha ha hot!”
One more time; Ha ha ha ha hot”
Now place your hand on your belly and see if you can notice it moving -
Ha ha ha ha hot!
Ha ha ha ha hot!
Now … decide what your soup smells like; and take a big whiff (pictures here!)

Growing alignments! I am Ashaya, the leader and founder here of this collective, and I am having a little bit of a rebranding moment to get everything I offer under the same umbrella - so if you see "Purple Dragon" anything ... that is our new name for all our offerings! We are going to use the wheel of life as the binder for all, life (this children's work) and death (I am a death worker/exit work) cycles, cycles of nature (I am also a floral designer and artist), and my adult work is called Shakti, literally the life force through it all -

So here here to welcome the changes! This children's collective will change from earthstar kids to Purple Dragon Children's Collective - Spirit Science, Yoga, Swimming and we are so excited to ride the new waves and the growth journey!
