Meet our newest PT, Kiana! 👋🏼
Kiana grew up on San Juan Island and became interested in physical therapy during her college years, realizing how well the field aligned with her interests in anatomy, movement, and connecting with people. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Idaho (Go Vandals!) and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in May 2025.
Kiana enjoys working with a wide range of orthopedic conditions and patient goals, including helping individuals return to sports and managing chronic pain. She takes a practical, personalized approach to care and enjoys creating exercise programs that feel achievable and meaningful for each person. Kiana especially enjoys helping patients build confidence as they return to activities they love—whether that’s basketball, mountain biking, working out, or everyday tasks like cooking, gardening, and staying active. She is also certified in dry needling and incorporates it when appropriate as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
Outside the clinic, Kiana enjoys spending time with her husband, Josh Altenhofen, and maintaining an active lifestyle. She likes working out, walking near any body of water, skiing in the winter, and paddleboarding or exploring the outdoors in the summer. She also appreciates slower days at home, whether watching a good movie, binge-watching a favorite show, or simply relaxing and recharging.
Kiana looks forward to seeing you at our Ten Mile + Overland locations. Give her a big welcome in the comments! ☺️
