Long, slow full-body length strokes combined with targeted & detailed work makes for the ultimate World Class massage. What kind of massage do you do? With over 18 years of professional massage experience, it is impossible to label it into just one category It is a unique blend of massage practices including classic Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Acupressure and most inspired by Esalen Massage. M
y signature massage style is classic Esalen Massage characterized by long, deep, flowing strokes with stretches to create a gentle yet firm and relaxing massage. Precise, slow and sensitive detailed work, woven together with long flowing strokes, releases tension and creates a feeling of wholeness. My intention is for my clients to feel nurtured and relaxed while integrating deep tissue work into a fluid and compassionate massage, combining varying pressures with stretches and presence making my work both therapeutic and pleasurable. What do your clients have to say about you? "You are an artist with a gift". "I have had massages from probably 12 massage therapists and they do not even begin to compare to yours". "You are amazing and I love your hands". "You are awesome and it shows". "Do you know how good that feels"? "I have been looking for you for a long time"
"That is going to make a big difference"
"It is like a little peice of Heaven". "You have a very nice studio". What is Esalen Massage? At the heart of Esalen Massage, which is taught at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA. is empowering each individual to regain a sense of harmony and balance, and to awaken their own inner resources for healing. While it has its roots in the style of Swedish massage, the goal of the massage therapist is to tune the mind and body together, resulting in a sense of serenity and peace for the client. Many recipients have commented how they appreciated the feeling of completeness and connection of their whole body. It is a catalyst for self-awareness and a a catalyst for change. During the massage are made aware of their holding patterns and places that are tight or blocked from stress. All of this is reflected back to the client to help them effect positive change. It is not unusual to hear, "that was the most amazing massage I've ever received." What makes your massage different? I think the difference with my massage is that I honestly try to make this massage time and experience truly one of a kind, memorable and effective! I want everyone to walk away saying "wow, that was the best massage I have ever had". ( I am a Leo with a big massage ego!) I do this by creating a welcoming environment that is relaxing, private, and quiet where you can put away the rest of the World. In creating the best session for each client, I call on all my experiences as both a giver and receiver of massage. For me, learning the art of massage is a continuous journey in which I am able to take away something from each session which in turn continuously inspires my work. My intention is to work with you and be present to your needs both listening and responding to the messages naturally given by the body and to create a nurturing, deeply relaxing therapeutic experience opening the body to its own healing potential. I focus on quality of touch lending knowledge and experience with natural intuition. Where are you located? I have a lovely home-based studio near Franklin and Orchard in Boise. It is about 3 blocks from the Fred Meyer. I give out the address and directions when someone makes an appointment. Everything is booked by appointment via the phone at 869-8128. What are your hours? I do not have set hours, however, I am typically available 7 days per week. How far in advance do I need to make an appointment? I usually have at least one same day appointment available if you call early enough, but calling ahead insures that you will get the time that best suits your schedule. Because I have long hours, I try to be as flexible as possible! Call 869-8128 to book your appointment. What do I wear? First and foremost, it is whatever YOU are comfortable with. If you want to leave some clothes on, that is just fine! My philosophy on what the client wears is "the less you wear the better your massage is". Because I use a lot of long flowing strokes it just works better when I don't run into clothing that gets in my way. You are covered up with a sheet except for the area that I am working on. Do you use draping? Yes, I do use draping in the form of a top sheet or a towel upon request. If you would like an alternate option for draping, we can discuss that at the time of your appointment. This is professional, non-sexual massage. Inappropriate behavior will certainly cause irritation. Do you use oil or cream? Well, sometimes both. I take pride in wanting to use the best possible products out there. I work constantly to come up with blends that I think my customers will love. I currently use my own custom blend of oils and cream which feels ultra luxurious, rich and yummy!
