I attended Boise State University, where I was an active advocate with Counselors for Social Justice. Trained in school counseling but practicing community health, I realized that working as a private practice counselor was a
way to combine social justice work with my passion for better mental health. Right now I work part time at a clinic where I work to help kiddos work through challenges and parents to more effectively support their children. In my own counseling office, I specialize working with people as they transition through challenges and grow, using affirming counseling and a variety of techniques (relaxation, breathing, walking, running, mindfulness, grounding, expressive arts, and nature therapy) to help us get to where a client wants to go. Eventually, I'd love to have an all inclusive Counseling Co-op of sorts, one which meets the needs of individuals and familes across the lifespan and validating of all identities.
