There are 4 constants in the Basic Function of fascia and our body's mobility:

1. Movement
2. Food/Supply
3. Communication
4. Shape/Space

The goal of fascia training through Rossiter Care Method, is to ensure that the fascia through-out our system is functioning at its best. Characteristics of well-trained fascia are:

1. It is firm and elastic at the same time
2. It is flexible, a bit like bamboo
3. It has the tensile strength of rope
4. It allows us to make springing movements like those of a gazelle

Fascia training and Rossiter care gives us:

1. Increased resilience of our tendons and ligaments
2. Prevention of painful friction in the hip joints and intervertebral discs
3. Protection for our muscles against injury, and helps with recovery from injury
4. Keeps the body in shape by maintaining tone and youthful movement.

The advantages to having health fascia for going about our everyday lives:

1. Our muscles work more efficiently
2. Recovery times are considerably shorter, so wer recuperate faster for the next task
3. Our performance increases
4. Healthy fascia protects us from injury, pain and other disorders, well into old age.

There's no time like now, time doesn't slow down. Ask yourself, "how do I want to age, and what can I do to help my body?"

Rossiter care is a partnership, between you, your body, and the coach to help guide you into new movement patterns.

I don’t believe in the concept of work/life balance.

It always makes me feel like I’m failing. No matter how hard I try, my life is never balanced.

Over the past 10 years, I have found a much better solution that works for me.

On Sunday night, I ask each member of my family what matters most to them for this week (and month). If it matters to them, it matters to me.

These become my non-negotiable moments.

If my son has junior high basketball games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 pm — I’m not missing them for anything. I will go in early or go back to the office after, if needed.

If my daughter has a doctor’s appointment that she’s worried about — I’ll do whatever it takes to be present with her.

When my wife has a night planned with girlfriends and needs me to run carpool pickups for dance and cross country practice — I’m there no matter what.

Running a company takes a lot of my time. It never shuts off. There is always something coming at me from somewhere. Planning my calendar based on weekly and monthly non-negotiables gives me peace of mind.

I clearly share my plans with teammates, investors and our board. After blocking off the time, I never apologize for my non-negotiables and I never miss.

I have left board meetings that are running long and asked our most important business partners to call me back, after my family time.

I can’t make it to everything. I gave up on that a long time ago. What I can do is guarantee that I’ll never miss a moment that matters to the people that matter most to me.

Give non-negotiables a try and tell me what you think. For me, it’s a much more rewarding approach than chasing the impossible goal of work/life balance.

We are all one decision away from changing our lives in any unforseen direction. Sometimes that decision ... is not our own ... but impacts OUR lives ... whatever that looks like ! That's where resilience comes in ...

* It's our thoughts about a situation, that brings formless to form, and creates our independent realities.

* I don't know about "everything happens for a reason" BUT, if I can't see the reason, does that make the reason not exist?

HOWEVER, it's what we do with "form" ... how it plays out in our own lives, creating our realities - is reliant on, and created by our thoughts, and how we chose to respond to them, whether it was our decision or not that brought those circumstances to form

"we don't regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it" ... But we do come to know "a new piece and a new happiness" ... We don't live in the past, we create our new joy and our new freedoms by living in the moment, what we are thinking in the present, creates our new world, simple!

This year's common cold is hanging on like I've never seen before. It comes with a cough that just doesn't quit. After coming home from vacation I started a drop of peppermint and a drop of tea tree oil at the nape of my neck, took that cough away in less than a week. Alternative and complementary therapies sometimes are the best answer, and all I use, we rely too much on prescription medications.

If you have a primary care physician, whether holistic or traditional western care, it's always best to check with the safety of essential oils for your personal care, everyone responds differently to different therapies. But I highly recommend giving this some thought.
