Tree-cher Spotlight 🌿

“Teaching yoga for me is being able to support people in feeling better physically and mentally. If I can help someone walk out the door feeling a little bit better than when they walked in, I’m stoked! It seems we all want the same thing. To feel good in our bodies and peace in our minds.

Teaching at Yoga Tree has been a gift. A beautiful space with amazing students.”

We’re grateful for teachers like Colbie who hold space with heart, presence, and care.

Come practice with her and see how it feels.

Content day truth.

Showing up for content day feels a lot like showing up to your first yoga class.

You overthink it.
You find reasons not to go.
You wonder if you belong.
And then you show up anyway.

So consider this your invitation.
To your first yoga class.
Or your second.
Or your first one in a while.

One of my favorite reminders comes from Eleanor Roosevelt:
“Do one thing every day that scares you.”

Sometimes that brave thing is simply walking through the door.

We’ll meet you there 🤍

Show up. I dare you.

Tree-cher Spotlight 🌿

Pull back the curtain and step in.

For Jill, teaching yoga today means creating a space where people can explore the connection between their physical body, their breath, and their inner self. Her classes are an invitation to move with intention, breathe deeply, and discover a sense of peace and resilience that carries beyond the mat.

Yoga Tree of Boise is a vibe. A welcoming one. A place built on connection, care, and community.

Jill’s intention as a teacher is simple and powerful.
You are accepted exactly where you are today. She’s here to help you find tools for holistic well-being and support a balanced life, in and out of the studio.

This is your invitation.
Shoop shoop your way onto the mat 🤍

Voices of the Tree 🤍

“Yoga with Jen, the owner and inspiration behind Yoga Tree of Boise, has rocked my yoga world. After almost fifty years of practice, my understanding has deepened in ways I could only imagine.”

This is why we practice.

Grateful for the people who walk through our doors, bring their lived experience, and share the space with curiosity, courage, and breath.

Thank you for trusting the practice.

January doesn’t have to come with pressure.

Instead of resolutions, we work with intention. In yoga, this is called a sinkalpa, a meaningful vow that guides how we show up, not who we think we need to become.

Beyond asana, the practice asks something quieter.

How do we cultivate peace within ourselves, especially when the world feels loud?

Aum Shantih Shantih Shantih.

Peace in thought. Peace in word. Peace in action.

Come as you are. Googly eyes welcome 👀🤍

Beyond Asana • Welcome the Light

As we move toward the Winter Solstice, the longest night invites us inward. A pause. A breath. A return to balance between light and dark.

Join us on December 20 at The Yoga Tree of Boise as we honor the still point of the season and gently step toward what’s next.

✨ Welcome the Light: Winter Solstice ✨

Begin the journey into stillness with guided reflection, shadow work, and intention setting led by Debbi Murphy, Dipaneeta Karmakar, and Doug Keeney.

2:30–4p
A restorative yoga experience with Jennifer Knight, including nourishing asana, supportive pranayama, yoga nidra, and journaling to craft a personal sankalpa.

4:15–5:15p
Solstice Celebration
A donation-based community gathering in support of the YTOB Foundation. A space for connection, shared intention, and collective care.

Come as you are.

Guess what? Many of you don’t know we have a sister nonprofit. We created the Yoga Tree of Boise Foundation so yoga can remain a practice that is accessible and inclusive to every body and every soul in our Treasure Valley commUNITY, regardless of cost.

We are offering 60 Winter 2026 Yoga Scholarships, giving community members access to one class per week from January 1 to March 31 at one of our partnering studios throughout the Valley. That is 12 classes total, entirely supported through the Foundation.

Whether you are just beginning or continuing your path, we encourage you to apply.

Applications are open until December 24. If you or someone you love could benefit, please apply or share.
