How many communication tools has healthcare bolted on over the years?

Fax. Secure messaging. HIEs. TEFCA. APIs.

Each one solves a problem, but added one at a time they create systems that were never designed to work together.

That’s the difference between bolt-ons and infrastructure.

Healthcare communication should be built on infrastructure, a shared foundation that allows organizations to exchange information reliably across channels, networks, and care settings.

See why healthcare communication works better with infrastructure, not bolt-ons.

A complete patient story rarely lives in one system.

Patients receive care across hospitals, specialists, post-acute providers, behavioral health services, and community organizations.

Building a more complete view of the patient requires communication across the many settings where care happens.

Kno2 helps make that possible by connecting networks, systems, and care settings through trusted communication infrastructure.

See how connected communication supports a more complete patient story.

Most interoperability conversations stop at the hospital.

But real care coordination doesn’t.

Physical therapy providers, skilled nursing facilities, long-term care organizations, and home health teams all play critical roles in the patient journey.

When these settings are disconnected, information gaps follow patients.

Kno2 helps bridge those gaps with communication infrastructure. Learn how we connect organizations across the healthcare ecosystem.

What’s the true cost of interoperability?

In this session from ViVE, Travis White explores the hidden operational, technical, and innovation costs of managing multiple vendors, and how organizations can shift resources back toward building what matters.

Healthcare communication challenges don’t just show up in architecture diagrams.

They show up in daily workflows.

• Care coordinators tracking down missing records
• Clinical teams waiting for discharge documentation
• Operations teams managing manual processes across systems

When information doesn’t move easily, people step in to fill the gaps.

Reliable communication infrastructure helps reduce those workarounds so healthcare teams can focus on the work that matters most: caring for patients.

See how communication infrastructure reduces manual workflows across care teams.

Healthcare communication doesn’t happen through a single standard.

It happens across a variety of technologies and methods:

• Fax
• Secure messaging
• APIs and FHIR
• National interoperability frameworks

Real interoperability means supporting all of these methods and making them work together at scale.

Listen to the latest Kno2fy podcast to learn what it really takes to connect once and communicate everywhere.

"We cannot continue to talk about compliance, or HIPPA, as a way we establish trust. That's baseline."

Therasa Bell takes on the question everyone’s thinking (but not always saying): when anyone can request patient data, how do you know who’s on the other end, and what they’ll do with it?

Her session from ViVE is now live on YouTube, breaking down what it really takes to build trust at national scale.

We're thrilled to have Alan Swenson returning to Kno2 as Chief of Staff & SVP of Network Strategy! For many of us, it feels like welcoming home someone who never really left.

Alan most recently served as both Executive Director of Carequality and the Technical and Operations Lead for the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) Recognized Coordinating Entity (RCE) as a Vice President at The Sequoia Project.

"He spent years at the national level defining how healthcare data should move. Now he's coming back to elevate our network that proves it can. The question we wake up asking every day is: What does it mean to be a healthcare network? Alan is the person who can answer that and operationalize it at scale."
- Therasa Bell, Founder & President of Kno2

As a federally designated QHIN and a committed participant in TEFCA, Kno2 is at an inflection point. Having Alan, who has worked on the very frameworks that define interoperability today, is an extraordinary advantage as we continue to grow.

Alan, we're so glad you're back. 💙
