I had a client come in the other day with intense pain in his mid back area. Palpation revealed that the rhomboids were tense but so was the pec minor. Test don't guess. NKT protocol revealed that the pec minor was overworking and the rhomboids were underworking. This is why I love
If I went ahead and released the area where the client was having the pain, it would have made his situation worse. It was only through using NKT protocol that the real problem was revealed.

I just returned from a memorable weekend in St Louis serving as a teaching assistant for a Level 1 seminar.
Hearing the course taught for a second time solidified why I chose this work.
NKT is strategic. It is precise. It is personalized and unique. As the founder of NKT says, "test, don't guess." I spent the first two years of my career guessing about how to help people with their muscle dysfunction. I'd rub out all the tight areas and fully relax the client only to have them come back for their next appointment with the exact same problem. With , I'm using carefully chosen muscle tests to determine WHY the tissue is tight then AND ONLY THEN releasing the overworking tissue. I'm not doing full body massage and hoping for the best outcome. My work is not generic. I'm tailoring the experience to what your body needs at that time.
This work is fun and rewarding. Next year, I'll take the level 3 course and learn how to correct issues with the eyes, tongue, deep core, ligaments and more. As the only one in Bolivar to do this work, I take this seriously. I want to get better at this so you can do what you need to do without bodily pain or stiffness.

Bodywork sessions with me look a little different than traditional massage and that's on purpose. I have found that when a person has dysfunction in their body, it's often due to compensatory movement patterns. To get rid of these patterns, sometimes I have to use unconventional release methods since the pain can be caused from muscle, fascia, joint or ligament dysfunction--maybe all 4! Simply lying on the table to receive treatment might not cut it. I often make a correction and then have the client walk around the table to see how it feels in their body. While I aim to make every session relaxing, relief for the client is more important than relaxation. I would describe my sessions as a cross between massage and physical therapy. This is why I often call my work "bodywork."
