CMH Rehab Success Story
Tim Smith from Pomme de Terre Lake area
Tim Smith chose Parkview Health Care Facility for his rehabilitation because of the compassionate care his wife received there in the past. After several strokes, Tim spent a month in critical care before moving to Parkview to begin his recovery.

He completed six weeks of inpatient rehabilitation, followed by three weeks of outpatient care. He is now continuing outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy as he works to regain his strength and independence.

He would like to recognize Robert Baker, PT; Huy Chuy, COTA; Brenda Durham, rehab tech; Aaron (Robert's student); Madi Ogden, ST; all the nurses and CNAs.

"Due to several strokes, I was in critical care for a month before being transferred to Parkview Health Care Facility. I couldn't form words really and I didn't remember or know what was going on around me. I couldn't make a complete thought. I couldn't feed myself. I couldn't get dressed. I couldn't walk or move my wheelchair."

"Now I can talk on the phone and in sentences, have comprehensive thoughts, walk using a walker, feed myself and get dressed with a little help. I am still going to outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy. I have met so many caring and wonderful people here that I will never forget."

We are now accepting Easter Candy and Plastic Easter Eggs in preparation for our Easter Egg Hunt on April 4th! Donations can be dropped off in our giant Easter basket in the front office!🐣🐰

We are planning our Second Annual Easter Event for Saturday, April 4th. Part of this event is obviously the egg hunt! We are now accepting donations of Easter candy and plastic Easter eggs! We've linked our amazon wish list if anyone is interested in helping out!

We’ve been looking forward to this! Today we got to take a trip down the road to tour the new CMH Hospital Tower. It really is beautiful! Thank you to the CMH team for inviting us, and thank you to CMH Health Transit for getting us there!

We are excited to finally be able to host our Art Show! We’ve rescheduled it for Thursday, February 26th from 6pm to 7:30pm. Join us to view residents art, create a masterpiece of your own, and enjoy some refreshments!
