ese platforms may be visible to others or stored in ways that could compromise your privacy. We are ethically and legally obligated to protect your personal health information, and social media does not meet the necessary standards for confidentiality. Professional Boundaries
Maintaining clear professional boundaries is essential to ensure a safe and therapeutic relationship. Engaging via social media can blur these boundaries and create dual relationships that are not appropriate in a clinical setting. Clinical Risk and Liability
Social media is not an appropriate platform for crisis support or mental health services. Through these platforms, we cannot assess risk, provide emergency support, or ensure an appropriate clinical response. Miscommunication or delays in response may also lead to serious liability and ethical concerns.
