Missouri has established safe places for newborns? If a parent chooses to permanently give up a newborn, they can leave them with a law enforcement officer, firefighter, EMT, or volunteers or staff at a hospital, maternity home or pregnancy center without prosecution as long as it is done according to law and safely.
Additionally, Missouri now has several Safe Haven Baby Boxes, which allow parents anonymity in, likely, one of the most difficult decisions of their life.
