To celebrate Women’s Health Month, we are hosting the Women’s Healthy(ish) Happy Hour on May 14, 2025, from 5 pm – 7 pm at our Bonita location (Bennett Wellness Center, 34725 Bonita Beach Rd SW, Suite 4). Shopping, food, drinks, books, facials, massages, etc – everything a woman needs for self-care and it’s free! Plus, we will be raffling breast ultrasounds and thermography scans.

Additionally, Southwest Medical Thermal Imaging will be hosting HerScan for breast ultrasounds Wednesday, May 28th. Although we are hosting the event, please know you must make an appointment and pay HerScan directly as they are a different company. Do you know why BREAST THERMOGRAPHY for women is so useful...? Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) offers the opportunity of earlier detection of breast disease than has been possible with breast self-examination, physician palpation or mammography alone.

Every woman has her own thermal pattern (normally symmetric) that is accurate and static throughout her lifetime. Any changes to a normal 'thermal fingerprint' caused by early cell changes (pathology) will become increasingly apparent, so it's recommended to start monitoring health early. Monitoring changes over periods of time with DITI is the most efficient means of identifying subjects who require further investigation.

And DITI is a non-invasive test so there is no contact with the body of any kind, no radiation and the procedure is painless. The scanning system merely detects and records the infrared radiation that is emitting from the patient’s body. Ultrasounds will be offered on Mondays at our Fort Myers location.

Breast Screening-a combination of physiologic testing (thermography) and structural testing (ultrasound, mammogram, or MRI) can result in a 98% accuracy testing. Ultrasounds are radiation, compression and pain free!

Stroke Screening-A carotid ultrasound is performed to test for narrowed carotid arteries, which increase the risk of stroke. Carotid arteries are usually narrowed by a buildup of plaque — made up of fat, cholesterol, calcium and other substances that circulate in the bloodstream.

Thyroid Screening-Thermography evaluations thyroid function or dysfunction. Thyroid ultrasound is a sound wave picture of the thyroid gland taken by a hand-held instrument and translated to a 2-dimensional picture on a monitor. It is used in diagnosis of tumors, cysts or goiters of the thyroid, and is a painless, no-risk procedure.
