Don't miss this opportunity of a great lecture sponsored by App State's University Forum Lecture Series! Helen's insightful work spans some amazing breadth - the interplay of colonial projects and conservation of crop genetic diversity, the development of the private sector of plant breeding, the emergence of the science of genetics, the discounting of Traditional Ecological Knowledge, the erosion of rural economies, etc. Her website has good coverage of her work: https://www.helenannecurry.com/

During this 4-H activity, you’ll learn how to grow your own salad and then top it with yummy home-made dressing. Begin by planting baby salad in a container that you take home to care for. As your baby salads grow, you’ll take a picture to share the progress with us. Later, we’ll have a salad making party! You’ll make an Asian-style dressing to toss with your salad, then top with crunchy Chow Mein noodles.
