On Sunday, April 13th, local pediatrician Dr. Scott St. Clair will present his research on the New York Times best-selling book, The Anxious Generation, by Jonathan Haidt. This educational night will focus on teen mental illness and cell phone use.
This event will happen at Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church in Blowing Rock, NC. This event is open to anyone in the community; all are welcome.

In response to the Hurricane Helene disaster, DMHDDSUS is using the Connections App to make evidence-based support for mental health and substance use recovery available to anyone in Western North Carolina. Services include:
· Peer support (available 24/7) for mental health or substance use recovery
· Virtual meetings for support of mental health or substance use recovery
· An online community of people in recovery from substance use

Whether you’re in treatment, have a provider, or are seeking support for the first time, the Connections App can help support you. This may be especially true for anyone whose mental health or substance use care is disrupted at this time due to Hurricane Helene.
