Happy May!! I wanted to introduce myself. I'm La Homa "Homie" Simmonds, Licensed Massage Therapist. Central Iowa Massage .
I've been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 15 yrs. I have had my business out of my therapy room at my home for those 15 yrs located 433 nature rd. Boone Iowa.
I have been thinking about coming into Boone and renting a space for a few yrs now. A opportunity opened up at Ema's Elegance Heather Davis building, and im now set up and taking massage appointments at both of my locations.
At this - "new to me space"- located at 807 Story st.,
im able to do more massage modalities that I've been certified in for the last 15 yrs. I typically go and get certified on some technique/ modality at least 1x yr if not 2x.
Im hoping to hold "learn something new" classes , along with sound baths, n other out reach community events.
I also work for Mgmc Hospice as thier Massage Therapist for 15yrs and still going.
I am also an End of Life Death Doula, Ordained Minister, Reiki Master, Boone Native, Navy veteran, Partner of Ian Simmonds for 30+ yrs, mom, unchi ( grandmother in Lakota), sister, aunt. ... n so much more..

My goal is to create a space where I can have my passion for my chosen profession, my love for community, a safe, educational, and healing space for ALL to be seen, heard, respected, honored, and cared for.

I'll now have the space to do more events like "learn hows'", sound baths, n more.
