Having been with the Community Care Clinic since 2010 and serving as the Executive Director of the clinic for the last five years, the Hunger and Health Coalition is lucky to have Catherine King as our Director of Finance.

Catherine said combining the two organizations into one agency offers a lot of benefits to the clients and patients that are served by opening another avenue of care. She added that this is a conversation the two organizations have discussed for quite some time and is excited to see it come into fruition.

"Working with Catherine every day is a huge privilege and not only brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization but she's made sure our integration with the clinic has been seamless," said interim Executive Director Keith Richardson.

Nonprofits wouldn't run without the proper financial support from grants and donors, and it's Catherine who combines her expertise with her passion to make sure that all of that support goes a long way in creating change in our community.

Help show some love for Catherine for all she has done for the Community Care Clinic over the years and what she will continue to do for the Hunger and Health Coalition in this role! ❤

Colon Cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United States affecting one in 24 people during their lifetime.

It is important to get screened starting at the age of 45 unless recommended earlier by your physician:

- Screenings can find the symptoms of colon and re**al cancer
-Regular screenings can also find colore**al cancer early so that you can take action when treatment is the most effective!

Thank you Kiwanis!!

We are blessed to be part of an organization that loves to serve and give back. The Carolinas District of Kiwanis (serving North/South Carolina) raised funds to support clubs/people in the communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Kiwanis Club of Boone was a recipient of a portion of those funds. We are honored to be able to give back to the Watauga community!

For those in need, please see the flyer below for information about a free propane fill event on January 29th.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Boone Methodist Church and Wallace Propane of Boone for their partnership in making this possible!

Our community is amazing!!

Thank you! Women's Fund of the Blue Ridge

We are incredibly proud to support the hardworking nonprofits in our community that have been at the forefront of recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. This week marks the beginning of distributing 14 grants to nonprofits dedicated to restoring and empowering our community in the aftermath of the hurricane.

We had the privilege of delivering grants to three incredible organizations—Quiet Givers, Hunger and Health Coalition, and Community Care Clinic—that have worked tirelessly to provide critical support to women and girls in the High Country.

*Quiet Givers has been instrumental in offering immediate financial relief and resources to families facing hardship. https://www.facebook.com/quietgivers

*Hunger and Health Coalition continues to combat food insecurity, providing vital nutrition, health services, and support to our most vulnerable neighbors. https://www.facebook.com/hungerhealthco

*Community Care Clinic has been a lifeline, delivering essential medical care and services to individuals who would otherwise lack access, particularly in these challenging times. https://www.facebook.com/communitycareclinicBoone

With the ongoing generosity of our donors and partners, the Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge (WFBR) is proud to invest in the people and programs that are helping to rebuild lives and restore hope. We are deeply grateful for the unwavering dedication and compassion shown by our grantees and supporters.

These grants represent more than financial aid; they signify our shared commitment to healing and rebuilding. Our grantees are making a lasting impact, and we are honored to be part of this vital work.

Thank you to everyone who has made these efforts possible.
