We understand there are more onlookers and sightseers in the High Country today. This is creating issues for not only our transportation of supplies across the county and emergency services but impacting our already limited resources, including cellular service.

If you are dropping off relief supplies, thank you for your assistance! Please use The Summit Pickleball for that dropoff at 278 Industrial Park Dr. If you are just visiting or sightseeing, please leave the area, so we can help further coordinate emergency operations for our residents.

This will help us recover easier so we can welcome you back with open arms at a later date.

To Dear All My Dear Patients:

I turned 70 this year, and I have decided that it is finally time for me to retire. I am writing to let you know that my last day of practice will be December 12, 2024.

I will be referring all my patients to the many fine doctors and other medical providers at Boone Dermatology who will have access to your electronic medical dermatology record.

Established patients may make an appointment to see me before December 12 by calling the office at 828-263-0067 and leaving a message. My assistant will call you back to schedule your appointment. If you have seen me recently for your six months full skin exam, it would be advisable to call Boone Dermatology now to get on the schedule for your next exam in 2025.

It has been my deep honor and my sincere pleasure to serve as your dermatologist these past 24 years here in the high country. I will be remaining in the area and hope to see many of you out and about in Watauga County.
