Freedom Farm Ministries

Freedom Farm Ministries The mission of Freedom Farm Ministries is to offer restoration through the transforming power of Jesus.

In September 2006, Freedom Farm Ministries began with three men in a recently renovated double-wide. Now Freedom Farm houses up to 45 men in six locations with three unique program phases. Freedom Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry serving men by helping them grow in a life centered in Jesus Christ. Hundreds of men have already received that new life, and many have renewed health, renewed reputations and been reunited with family. Most importantly, these men have gained a new or restored faith through repentance and belief in our savior Jesus Christ.

Winter officially begins today—but here in Boone, it’s felt like winter for quite a while now.

The cold mornings, quiet snowfall, and bare trees are a steady reminder of God’s design and faithfulness in every season. Even in the stillness, there’s beauty. Even in the cold, there’s purpose.

“As long as the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” — Genesis 8:22 (KJV)

Praying this season brings rest, reflection, and a deeper awareness of His presence.

Dwayne is a retired 911 operator and paramedic from Denton, NC. After years of serving others, ongoing health issues led him down a difficult road—from prescribed pain medication to alcohol.

He came to Freedom Farm Ministries once before, but his heart wasn’t fully surrendered to Christ. After a relapse, Dwayne returned—and this time, the change was real.

Today, Dwayne lives in the Boone area, actively involved in his church and walking alongside younger men in the program, helping them pursue a full and faithful life in Jesus Christ.

This season, we’re introducing a meaningful way to honor or remember someone you love. Our new Honor & Memorial Scholarship Program allows families to create a lasting legacy that helps men fighting addiction receive Christ-centered recovery at Freedom Farm.

Instead of exchanging gifts, some families are choosing to pool resources to fund a scholarship in a loved one’s name—turning their story into hope for someone else’s future.

If you’d like to learn more about creating a scholarship or giving toward an existing one, visit https://freedomfarmministries.org/freedom-farm-ministries-scholarships/

Your generosity could be the very reason a man begins his journey toward freedom.

Paul’s reminder to the Galatians speaks right into the heart of recovery. The journey can feel long, and the work of rebuilding a life can be exhausting. Yet God promises that steadfast faithfulness—one day at a time—will bear fruit in His perfect timing. For those battling addiction, every small step toward Christ matters, even when the progress feels slow. And for those who support them, your kindness and encouragement carry more weight than you realize.

During this season of giving, we’re thankful for everyone who partners with Freedom Farm Ministries. Your prayers, generosity, and willingness to “do good unto all men” help men find hope, healing, and a life rooted in Christ.

Today is Giving Tuesday—a day set aside to come together and invest in what truly matters. At Freedom Farm Ministries, we see firsthand how God transforms the lives of men battling addiction. Each story of redemption begins with someone choosing to give, to believe, and to stand with them in their fight for a new life in Christ.

Your generosity today helps provide biblical teaching, counseling, safe housing, and the daily support our men need to rebuild what addiction tried to destroy.

If the Lord leads, we invite you to join us in this mission—every gift, large or small, makes a real impact: https://freedomfarmministries.org/give/

Thank you for helping us share hope, restore families, and point men to lasting freedom.

Devin grew up in Charlotte chasing success with everything he had, but no matter how high he climbed, it all seemed to fall apart. After two treatment centers and countless resets, he realized he’d become good at building—and tearing down—the very things he loved most. Drinking became the way he tried to quiet the emptiness inside.

But when he came to Freedom Farm, something finally felt different. He found comfort. He found belonging. He found hope.

Today, Devin is rebuilding his life on a new foundation—Jesus Christ—and we’re grateful to walk this road with him.

Our ministry friends, Pastor Mike and his wife Cheryl, blessed our Phase Two men with a camping trip this past weekend—and what a time it was! From campfires and testimonies to quiet moments in God’s creation, it was a weekend of reflection, fellowship, and growth.

We’re so grateful for friends of the ministry who pour into our men and remind them that walking with Christ is an adventure worth taking every day.
