The mission of Freedom Farm Ministries is to offer restoration through the transforming power of Jesus.

In September 2006, Freedom Farm Ministries began with three men in a recently renovated double-wide. Now Freedom Farm houses up to 45 men in six locations with three unique program phases. Freedom Farm is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry serving men by helping them grow in a life centered in Jesus Christ. Hundreds of men have already received that new life, and many have renewed health, renewed reputations and been reunited with family. Most importantly, these men have gained a new or restored faith through repentance and belief in our savior Jesus Christ.

Dwayne is a retired 911 operator and paramedic from Denton, NC. After years of serving others, health issues led to prescribed pain medication—and eventually, drinking.

He first came to Freedom Farm Ministries but hadn’t yet surrendered his life fully to Jesus. After a relapse, he returned—and this time, everything changed.

Now, Dwayne lives in the Boone area, faithfully involved in the Church and mentoring young men in the program to live the best life they can in Christ.

Earlier this month, our residents and staff had the joy of helping prepare over 1,700 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child!

It’s one of our favorite service projects each year — a chance for the men in our program to give back, work together, and share the love of Christ with children around the world.

Moments like these remind us that recovery isn’t just about freedom from addiction — it’s about becoming the hands and feet of Jesus, serving others with purpose and joy.

We’re thankful to be part of something bigger than ourselves. ❤️

In Ecclesiastes 3, Solomon reminds us that “to every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

Life in recovery often feels like a constant tug between progress and struggle. But this passage reminds us that each stage—healing, waiting, rebuilding—has divine purpose. God uses every moment to shape us into who He designed us to be. When we surrender our timeline and trust His, even the painful seasons gain meaning.

Just as summer gives way to fall, your current chapter—no matter how hard—will not last forever. God’s timing is perfect, and His plan is good. Let every season draw you closer to Him, knowing He makes all things beautiful in His time.
