🌟 Employee Spotlight: Kimberly Farris, CADC, RBSM
Practice Manager | AppRheumatology & App Pain Management
Since joining UNC Health Appalachian in 2017, Kimberly has become an essential part of our team. She stepped into the role of Practice Manager at the end of 2024, where she now oversees two clinics. From managing schedules and patient flow to supporting providers and staff, Kimberly works hard to create a collaborative environment where both patients and team members feel supported, respected, and valued.
“What I love most about my role is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every single day. I take pride in creating an environment where both patients and staff feel supported, respected, and valued,” she shares.
Beyond her work, Kimberly is deeply committed to community service and personal growth. She serves as a substance abuse counselor, has collaborated with local leaders on public health initiatives, volunteered with March of Dimes, FEMA, and even served as a foster parent. Currently, she is pursuing her master’s degree at Lees-McRae with plans to continue on to a doctorate.
At home, Kimberly treasures time with her husband and best friend Mickey, their seven children, and six grandchildren. She enjoys fishing, gardening, canning, cooking, painting, exploring new places, and gathering with family and friends.
