A young man came in who’s never had a massage before. He’s been dealing with muscle spasms for years ; a dedicated soccer player who had to cut back on his training because nothing seemed to help.Thanks to the wellness program partnership with through the hospital, he finally experienced massage therapy for the first time and after just 10 minutes of focused work, he felt relief. Tonight I sent an email to my clients with this withering orchid bloom imbedded. I spoke about grief. How’s it’s showing up for me in my personal life, in my work and how my work feels like a steady flow of quiet moments in the treatment room. The last 24 hours have been heavy but this sweet bloom was a reminder of saying goodbye to a soul. Thank you to friends that gave me your love and support today from yesterday’s loss.
