I pass this door frame hundreds of times every week… but today, it stopped me in my tracks.
All these little marks—quiet reminders that my kids have grown up right here inside these walls. That “Sav-Mor” has been part of their vocabulary for almost their entire lives.
This place has never just been a business. It’s been sacrifice. It’s been long days and hard seasons. It’s been our family, giving a piece of ourselves to keep these doors open.
And I can’t help but hope… one day, Sav-Mor is something their kids talk about too.
More than anything, I hope this store has taught them something deeper—
how to have a servant’s heart,
how to love their neighbor,
and how to stand up for what’s right.
Whatever their path in life looks like, I hope they’re always brave…
that they stand tall,
and never stay quiet when it comes to the truth.
Because places like this don’t just disappear without a fight.
And neither will we.
