We will be at Main Street Office at the depot in Booneville on Wednesday from 10-2 if you would like to come by and pick up a book. Just for clarification this is a reprint of the Howard Carpenter book written in 1956. The National Archives has launched a new 1950 Census webpage on Archives.gov. This page will help users stay up to date and informed on the latest updates. Some of its features are questions asked on the census, enumerator training videos, finding aids, and published statistical data.

We are saddened to announce the passing of one of our charter members - Mrs. Melba Isbell.

Mrs. Isbell passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born May 4, 1939 to J.K. Kennedy and Elma Tapp Kennedy. She was a member of Siloam United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2019 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Rod Taylor and Bro. Cody Stephen officiating. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Webber Isbell of Marietta; sisters-in-law, Maxine Martin, Sue Rhoads (Fred) and Jane Martin; special niece, Ann Warren (Kenneth); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend and caregiver, Ruby Rorie.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Slack, Kenneth Warren and Richard Ragin. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2019 at McMillan Funeral Home.
