Fahrney Keedy Home & Village

Fahrney Keedy Home & Village Fahrney Keedy is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Fahrney-Keedy is much more than a nursing home.

Nestled among the foothills of the picturesque Catoctin Mountains in Western Maryland, Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village's 90-acre campus offers more than just a breathtaking view in every direction.... We offer our residents all levels of health-care support without leaving the community. We are in Boonsboro, only minutes from Interstates 70 and 81, so our community is just a short drive away from Hagerstown, Frederick and the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., metropolitan areas. Come see for yourself... Our spirit of caring and a Christian environment are what set us apart from other retirement communities... and will carry us through the next century of continuing care. We are a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) that offers affordable Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing care. For more than 105 years Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village, affiliated with the Church of the Brethren, has been caring compassionately for seniors 60 years of age and older. The dedicated staff is motivated by the principles of professional service, a Christian attitude and the willingness to go above and beyond required responsibilities. State surveys of residents’ family members and other care-givers show high ratings of satisfaction for the quality we offer, compared to those at other Maryland facilities.

πŸ€πŸ€ EVERY day is a lucky one when you have someone like our Activities Director Shannon Kelbaugh on your team! Our favorite leprechaun and her band of merry Activities Aides made sure it was a St. Patrick's Day to remember for our residents and staff alike! We had Jessica Snyder Music entertain with some classic sing-a-longs at our resident social (complete with pizza and green treats), and staff members were treated to brownie parfaits! (Check the video in our comments for the full yum-factor! πŸ€πŸ€

We appreciate any individually-wrapped candy you can spare so that we can stuff plenty of plastic eggs to hide throughout our campus!

We are closely monitoring the current severe weather alert and remain updated by Washington County, Maryland's emergency alert system.

Out of an abundance of caution, our team is actively implementing our established severe weather preparedness procedures to help ensure the safety and comfort of both residents and staff. This includes securing resident areas, preparing interior spaces, and taking other precautionary steps across our community.

Our housekeeping, maintenance, and care teams are working together to make sure everyone is prepared.

The safety and well-being of our residents and staff remain our top priority, and we will continue to monitor updates and respond accordingly.

We encourage all to sign up for emergency alerts from Washington County Government - Maryland by visiting this link and following these easy steps: https://www.washco-md.net/emergency-management/washcomdalerts/
