Fahrney Keedy is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) and 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Fahrney-Keedy is much more than a nursing home.

Nestled among the foothills of the picturesque Catoctin Mountains in Western Maryland, Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village's 90-acre campus offers more than just a breathtaking view in every direction.... We offer our residents all levels of health-care support without leaving the community. We are in Boonsboro, only minutes from Interstates 70 and 81, so our community is just a short drive away from Hagerstown, Frederick and the Baltimore and Washington, D.C., metropolitan areas. Our teams got into the holiday spirit today at the Valley Mall volunteering for United Way of Washington County, Maryland! We wrapped, we laughed, and we bonded with our friends from our sister facility Coffman Nursing Home and Rehab Center! 🎁

Yesterday, during our holiday-themed Fahrney Keedy and Coffman Nursing Home and Rehab Center Annual Board of Directors Meeting, we honored our three outgoing board members. While they may be stepping off of our board, the impact they've each made upon our communities will last a lifetime!

Charles "Charlie" Angle has served on our Board as well as volunteered for so many years. We have no doubt that he'll remain connected to us as much as he can be over the years to come. His recent terms, ranging from 2016-2025 have proven to be some pivotal years for our growth and the future of Fahrney Keedy!

Mary Ellis Bowman's history with Fahrney Keedy dates back to when she was a nursing aide at just 15 years old! She credits us with instilling a career-spanning love for nursing and philanthropy. No stranger to acts of service in the Washington County community (and beyond), it has been our honor to have her on our board for the past six years!

Sue Graff (pictured here in November 2024) has always been a driving force - with a passion for educating the nurses of tomorrow, her work with nonprofits like Brooke Lane and the Hagerstown YMCA made her such an important presence on Coffman Nursing Home's board. She was imperative as their board joined forces with Fahrney Keedy's after our organizations merged! While Sue couldn't join us yesterday, we do have a nice "thank you!" gift we'll be delivering to her very soon!

A very special thanks to Board Members of yesterday and today! You are helping to enrich the lives of seniors at both of our locations. Your selfless work and guidance are greatly appreciated!

Our Fahrney Keedy Auxiliary Organization is bringing back a wonderful tradition to our campus Saturday, December 20th from 6-8pm! Just $10 gets you 5 luminarias (you could also donate more, but a minimum $10 is encouraged).

To reserve these by the December 15th deadline:

- Complete & print out this form (or visit fkhv.org/auxiliary to print out a larger version)
- Be sure to select either "In Memory of" or "In Honor of" and write the name you'd like to appear on the luminaria bag
