New Jersey Firemen's Home The New Jersey Firemen’s Home was founded over a hundred years ago. The Firemen’s Home, on 85 acres in Boonton, also has a museum of fire-fighting memorabilia.

It is the only nursing home and residential-care facility dedicated to the state’s 77,000 active and retired firefighters. The home, administrated by the New Jersey Firemen’s Board of Managers, has served over 1,787 people since it opened and currently has 65 residents.

Even with blizzards and winter chill, our community stayed warm with laughter and connection.

February was filled with love, celebration, creativity, and friendly competition — from Valentine’s Day and Mardi Gras to Winter Olympic Games, Crafts with Sue, Bergen County Day, and special visits from Call Us Clowns.

We truly make the best memories together — no matter the weather. ❄️💕

A huge thank you to Montclair FD, Bayonne FD, Orange FD, Belleville FD, Kearny FD, North Hudson FD, and Local 500 for joining us yesterday for a wonderful Bingo event.

Thank you for the generous prizes and donuts, and for taking the time to spend the afternoon with our retirees. The camaraderie, laughter, and shared stories truly made the event special, and it is always meaningful to reconnect with our brother firefighters.
