Allison Vorel: Integrative Health and Energy Medicine Practitioner

Allison Vorel: Integrative Health and Energy Medicine Practitioner Hello and welcome to my Healing Page! It was there at the Carol Simon Cancer Center where I took my first Healing Touch (HT) Class. With love and light,

Allison

Reiki Master /Teacher, Hospital Trained Healing Touch Practitioner, In Person/Distance Healing Sessions, Wellness Circles, Reiki Classes, Spiritual Support, Masters Certification in Integrative Health, and Author. My journey in the Healing Arts began nine years ago while teaching dance in Integrative Medicine at Atlantic Health in Morristown NJ. While receiving my certification, I began working with cancer patients at Carol Simon doing Energy Therapy and continued working there for four years. During that time, I also worked at half way houses for alcohol and drug addiction and dementia and Alzheimers units while presenting many workshops for hospital support groups and integrative health networks in the Morristown and surrounding areas. There after, I continued on studying energy modalities receiving my Reiki Mastership and also studied and worked with Sound Healing in my Healing Sessions. I became part of a drumming group, "The Sacred Healing Drums" doing monthly drumming circles and work shops in NJ and PA. One of my most memorable and rewarding workshops included drumming with Pediatric Residents to reduce stress at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Since then I have included small group Healing Circles that include meditation, sound healing, and energy therapy along with Distance Healing into my practice. I am excited to begin working with Summit Medical Group Cancer Center doing a series of monthly Healing Circles and Energy Medicine Workshops. I've always realized the importance of Integrative Health being traditional Western medicine and complementary medicine working together in the healing of the whole person that includes body, mind, and spirit. To better support the people I work with, I am presently enrolled in the Integrative Health Studies Master's Program at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ. I am looking forward to bringing this new knowledge base back to my practice to enhance my skill set for the people I work with and serve.

No time to be weak in a fragile world. Gather your strengths by focusing on self-improvement and letting go of “how you thought things should be”, then build from there. 💛

In life, the loudest battles are often within us—the constant urge to react, to chase, to explain, to force, or to seek validation. But there is a higher path, one that the Buddha often taught: the path of detachment.

Detachment doesn’t mean indifference. It means freedom. Freedom from the chains of expectation, desire, and attachment that lead to suffering.

Stop reacting to every provocation.
Stop chasing what is not meant for you.
Stop begging for attention, love, or approval.
Stop explaining yourself to those who refuse to understand.
Stop forcing situations that resist their natural flow.

When you let go, a strange and beautiful thing happens: peace arises. You begin to live for yourself, not for others’ opinions or fleeting desires. You reclaim your energy, your mind, your happiness.

As the Buddha said, “You only lose what you cling to.” True power is not in control, it is in letting go. True strength is found not in attachment, but in freedom from it.

Live lightly. Move peacefully. Love freely. And watch how life unfolds when you no longer cling, but simply be.
