Application for the Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) designation is made directly to the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP)
7 Contact Hours for Nurses. Application form given to attendees for CE certificate: $28 fee.
7 Clock Hours for Activity Professionals approved by
National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.
7 Contact Hours for Adult Care Home.
Date: March 29, 2023
Registration final deadline is March 17, 2023
Registration will close at earlier date if capacity filled.
Registration by Mail/Check: Please make check payable to Alzheimer’s and Dementia Come Into my World. Credit card payments accepted. (Check/credit card payment must be received by 3/17/23). Return check fee will be $35.00.

Cancellation Fee: $125 after 3/17/23.

My name is Deloris Williams, Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Trainer through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioner and also a CPR instructor. I am a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association and a member of NCALA. I began my healthcare career in 1993 starting out as a certified nursing assistant in long term care and then went to get my medication aide certification to be able to distribute medication in which led me into the Assisted Living environment where I progressed into a Resident Coordinator. Then in the year of 1998 I went through NCALA an broaden my experience to become an Assisted Living Administrator and worked with Resident’s with Dementia worked until 2005. At that time, I decided to go back to school for nursing as a LPN, becoming a charge nurse in long term care. In the year of 2010, I attended Chapel Hill classes and became a Nursing Home Administrator and worked in that position for 11 years while continuing to operate a licensed Dementia Unit inside my facility. I am also wound certified through VOHRA and Spice certified in Infection Control through NC SPICE.
