When it comes to infants and chiropractic care, we get asked these questions often.

How soon after delivery can my baby be adjusted?
A baby can be checked and adjusted as early as the first few days of life — some chiropractors see newborns within 24-48 hours of birth. Many parents bring their babies in during that first week, especially if there were any complications during delivery, such as a long labor, use of forceps or vacuum, or a C-section.
How often can I bring my baby in to be adjusted?
It really depends on the baby and what is going on, but a general guideline looks something like this:
If there is a specific concern like colic, latching issues, or torticollis, visits are typically more frequent at first — sometimes once or twice a week — and then spread out as the baby improves.
For general wellness care with no specific complaint, it is recommended to have a check-up at key developmental milestones — when baby starts holding their head up, sitting, crawling, and walking.
