Activity: Boonville Missouri Rotary Club joined us for lunch and trivia event. Residents had fun with Trivia, Name that Tune and Heads or Tails. Thank you to the Rotary Club for partnering with us. Lots of conversations and laugh's where had by all.

Activity: Birthday Party for Gerald

Story: Gerald talked about remembering the angle food cakes his mother use to make when he was a child. So we had three different angle food cakes, vanilla, peanut butter, and chocolate. We played a couple of birthday games, everyone had a good time celebrating.

Activity: Today we had Khesha Duncan from the Better Business Bureau out of Columbia, talk about their free services, and share important information about how to avoid scams.

Volunteer Opportunities at Hartmann Village - Help Enrich Lives!

Dear Community Members,
I hope this message finds you well!

At Hartmann Village, we're always looking for compassionate volunteers to help enrich the lives of our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. Your time and talent - whether as an individual or through a community organization - can make a lasting impact on the well-being and happiness of those who call our community home.

Here are just a few ways tou can get involved:

Play a musical instrument
Demonstrate a favorite cooking dish
Host or participate in a car show
Help with holiday events and celebrations
Preform a drama skit
Lead a Bible study
Decorate cakes or cookies
Share historical stories or local history
Offer photography services ora photo booth
Lead interactive games
Organize a reminiscence group or memory box
Host a happy hour or social hour
Facilitate a game or trivia session
Run a karaoke event
Sing or provide musical entertainment
Looking for a few Bridge players
Looking for a few Canasta players

We're happy to accommodate your schedule and interest. We're also exploring ways for residents to volunteer and give back to the broader community--so your ideas are always welcome!

Activity: Chair Exercise--(Balance Academy)

Americare strives to keep residents healthy and strong. Exercise is vital for residents' physical health, improving mobility, strength, balance, and bone density, while boosting mental health.

We’re excited to share some wonderful news — today, our community officially kicks off Flourish Wellness, Americare Senior Living new signature wellness philosophy designed to help every resident thrive in mind, body, and spirit. This is not replacing our traditional Americare philosophy. Instead, it's enhancing it, and tailoring it specifically for our residents so that every day here can feel more joyful, energizing, and connected. Aug. 18th is peak hummingbird season in the Midwest! Our ruby-throated friends are migrating, active, and hungry--perfect timing to welcome them.

Our first ever farmers market was a huge success, thanks to our residents families and staff that donated fruit, produce and baked goods to our event! We can't wait to do it away next year. 💛
