The countdown is ON!!! Gracie is in the foaling stall. Baby is due in 28 days!!!! As you may know, we are raffling this baby off as a fundraiser for Riley Equine Center. Daddy is purebred Gypsy Vanner White Ghost, pictured below Gracie. Gracie is a Percheron/Quarter cross. This should be a dine-O-mite baby. Raffle details are shown on Riley Equine page, and people are already claiming the numbers of their choice. Go ahead and choose your number and your choice of payment method. Message us. Announcement: We are going to have our New Volunteer Orientation tomorrow (Monday) at 10:30 a.m. Yes, it's gonna be cold, but we are indoors, and we have heat. So if you have any interest at all in getting involved with REC, please come on out. It will be fun. We may have lessons afterward if some of our riders want to bear the cold. We've had several cancellations, but we'll just see what turns up. But ORIENTATION WILL HAPPEN!!! Come on out and see what we're about!! 17244 Doyle Rd., Boonville.

BABY RAFFLE AND RULES!
Thanks for all your interest in our upcoming baby foal raffle. We decided to start it early so that you all could be as anxious and excited about this baby as we are. It is going to be something special. Gracie is a lesson horse, Percheron/Quarter. Daddy is White Ghost, a perlino purebred Gypsy Vanner who is registered with the GVHS and GHRA. This baby can be registed in the Gypsy Horse of America Assn as a crossbred Gypsy section C. Gypsys are known for their sweet dispositions that make wonderful lesson horses. And notice his 4 stockings to his knees and hocks. Gracie is about 15 hands. Ghost is 15.2, and both are stout, STOUT!. Baby is due February 27.
Rules:

1. Slots will cost $100.
2. You choose a number between 1 and 40 that no one else has chosen.
3. Name will not be added until paid for.

This is Gracie. Do you see the baby in her tummy? She is a Percheron/Quarter cross. Gracie is in foal to White Ghost, a perlino purebred registered Gypsy Vanner pictured next to her. This foal should be a lesson horse dream, or one with a good mind to have around for the kids. Gracie is a lesson horse here, and Gypsy Vanners are known for their gentle, easy temperaments. Gracie is 15 hands, Ghost is 15.2, and they are both stout STOUT!!! Gypsy crosses are very sought after and popular for working horses or family horses. They bring good money, but we are going to give everybody an opportunity to own a good minded Gypsy cross. We have created a raffle for him/her to give everybody a chance to own this beauty. See this mare? Do you see that baby in her belly? It's daddy is White Ghost, a purebred Gypsy Vanner. This mare is Gracie, a Percheron/Quarter cross. Gracie belongs to REC. Our staff decided to have Gracie produce our 2026 fundraiser. We have opted to raffle this baby to be available at weaning time. It should be a beautiful, good minded baby. Gracie is due February 26. ANNOUNCEMENT: REC will have an equine chiropractor at the arena on January 30. He has room for some additional horses. Anybody need a horse worked on?

Gunner being a therapy horse. Sometimes it's not about riding. Sometimes it's just about listening, feeling, and just being. Our horses love people and can be very intuitive about our needs.

REC's PLEA::: Hello Dear folks. We are between semesters at the colleges, but we still have kiddos who have therapy and need to ride. We are very very short of help until Jan. 22. If you like kids and/or horses and would like a to have a fulfilling experience, please come help us. Primary jobs are to lead horses and/or to be a sidewalker, interacting with the rider and sometimes helping them through specific activities and primarily keeping them entertained. Other jobs include catching, grooming, and tacking the horses. We need you at the arena at 17244 Doyle Rd, in Boonville on Monday (tomorrow) 1:00-7:00, and Saturday the 3rd, 8:30-2:00.. Many people tell us that they get at least as much out of this experience as the riders do. I would say the same thing. Every day that I work, my heart is lifted by these precious kids!! No training necessary. We will train you. No problem. Just please let us know if you can help so we will know when we have enough. We need 4 more people for tomorrow.

Volunteering at Riley Equine is such a heart warming experience. Many have said that they get as much out of it as the riders do. Many make it a family affair, bringing their teenage kids and working alongside them. It's a happy family affair. We are particularly short of help this time of year because of semester break. We could really use some more local volunteers who are the backbone of our organization. Please contact us here if you're interested.

Look at this guy!! He came to us needing a leader and two sidewalkers. He is autistic, non-verbal, and he would not interact with any of us. He was always polite but would never engage. Look at the way he is riding this big horse independently!!! And look at how he is interacting with Betty, playing games with her!!! Folks, this is HUGE!!!!! We are ecstatic with his progress!!!!
