BECOMING TRULY YOU!!! This is the title of our new series of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. We are offering a 6 session Equine Assisted Therapy Program for adults held twice a month , on the 1st and 4th Wednesdays of the month at 1:00 at Riley Equine Center in Boonville. This class will be 1 1/2 hours of direct connection and communication with the horse. Insurance may cover in some instances. Contact us for more details.

Guess who rode today!!!! The 5 beautiful kiddos that you donated to!!! They are so sweet and appreciative!! We are in love with these foster kids, and we get to serve them because of YOU!!!!!! YOU, my dear friends, donated enough for them to ride for a month. We thank you, and they thank you. Look at these precious happy faces. We're addressing PTSD and anxiety.

I love our community sooo much!!!! I had numerous requests for Riley Equine Center's CashApp and Venmo so they could donate to these precious foster kids' therapeutic riding fund. We have enough for them to ride for the next 2 weeks, so we can breathe for a minute.

Everybody loves Will!!!!! We are very fortunate to have Will Patton as a volunteer. Everyone loves him, especially the kids. He gets lots of hugs during a day's work.

I know this just looks like a typical leader, sidewalker, and rider picture, but look closer. This little rider had a very secure grip on his sidewalker. He was NOT going to let him get away!!!!! He rode the whole hour like this! Sooo cute!!

Dear Folks, we had a situation today that is tugging at my heart. At my invitation, we were visited by 5 foster children and their foster mom. These kids' story is not a happy one, and they suffer from the trauma associated with that, but i know of no funding available for this type of situation. We get some help from the City of Boonville, but these kiddos don't live within the Boonville City Limits, so they are ineligible. Yes, we have a small scholarship fund, and we will use that. We used it today, but ongoing therapeutic riding for these kiddos, which is what they desperately need, would deplete our funds very fast. Does anyone know where some funding may be to enable these precious kids to get the help they need? They were enamored with the horses, and i was NOT going to send them away without a ride. When we put them on the horses, the excitement filled the arena. I've never seen a group of kids before soooo enthusiastic!! Out of 5 kids, there's usually at least one that is apprehensive. Nope, not with this group. They were grinning from ear to ear. Their foster mom said she had never seen them so happy. They all thanked me over and over. They begged to come back again. I don't know how I could say no, but REC can't afford to eat the cost for very long. So does anyone know of a grant for at-risk kids? Or would anyone be able to help out until I find a grant? I'm just throwing my wishes out there searching for some miracle, I guess. I love my fb friends, and they have always helped me through these struggles. Now the precious little girl is back to riding with us. Music was playing, of course, and she was dancing on the horse to the music. I had to video her from behind because if she would see me, she would stop. Do you believe in miracles? I DO!!!!!!!

I love what we do here, and sometimes amazing things happen. This little girl rode with us about 2 years ago. She quit because she had to have surgery. Please look closely at this video. Then check out the next one.

Hey Dear Folks!! We have our regular classes Wednesday afternoon, but then at 5:15 we have a huge class!! We have 8 people who would like to ride together. So we're going to need a whole bunch of help with this. If you have ever led a horse or wanted to, WE NEED YOU!!!! If you haven't led a horse, come early, and we'll show you. Wear long pants because they want to go to the woods. This is tons of fun. Come help us please!!!! Let me know if you can come so I'll know when we have enough.
