Meet Mandi Pellock, Registration Supervisor at Emplify Health by Gundersen! 💙

Behind the scenes of every patient visit is a team working to ensure the process runs smoothly — and Mandi plays a key role in making that happen. Not only is Mandi the Registration Supervisor for Emplify Health by Gundersen Boscobel Hospital and Clinics, but for Emplify Health by Gundersen Hillsboro ER and Administration Desk as well. She oversees patient registration processes and scheduling staff while supporting the registration team across multiple departments.

Her days include supervising and supporting staff, managing schedules, resolving patient and staff concerns, coordinating with departments to streamline workflows, and leading process improvements. Mandi also participates in lots of meetings and helps ensure registration systems and processes meet regulatory requirements. Her leadership helps create a smooth, organized experience so patients can focus on their care.

While patients may not always see the work happening behind the scenes, Mandi says the role requires balancing the operational and human sides of healthcare — from scheduling and compliance to handling sensitive patient information and troubleshooting challenges in real time. This coordination is essential in creating a seamless experience so healthcare teams can focus on delivering quality care.

Mandi began her journey working in our Boscobel Specialty Clinic as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and while working full time as A CMA, she earned her associate’s degree in office management with an emphasis on servant leadership — a path that helped her build strong skills in communication, collaboration, and leadership. When the opportunity arose, she stepped into the Registration Supervisor role, combining her clinical experience with her leadership training to support both staff and patients.

She says one of the most rewarding parts of working in Boscobel and Hillsboro is being able to help others and contribute to a community-focused organization where every role plays a vital part in patient care. Her coworkers describe her as driven, a reflection of the dedication she brings to her team and to improving the patient experience.

Outside of work, Mandi enjoys spending time with her children, her significant other Dylan, and his daughters. Their busy schedules keep the family active with sports and school activities, but they also love spending time outdoors — going for walks, hiking different areas, kayaking in the summertime, and taking scenic drives through the countryside. She also loves attending live concerts whenever she gets the chance. 🎶

Her go-to comfort food? A cheeseburger on the grill, and if she’s looking for a sweet treat, she’ll reach for sour gummy worms or sour patch kids. 🍔🍬

For Mandi, being part of this team means working alongside people who care deeply about the well-being of patients and the surrounding communities. She’s proud to contribute to a culture of compassion, collaboration, and continuous improvement that helps ensure every patient has a positive experience from their very first point of contact. 🌟

Have you ever had a day where most things went well but your mind keeps circling back to the one thing that didn’t? 🧠 That’s your brain’s negativity bias at work! It’s completely normal, but it doesn’t have to take the lead.

For those who struggle with perfectionism, this can feel even stronger. You might accomplish something meaningful but still fixate on a small flaw. Over time, that mindset can hold you back from taking risks or celebrating progress.

Here’s the good news: your thoughts are powerful—but so are you. 💬

You can challenge that inner critic and start to shift your focus.
🔁 Try this: when you catch yourself dwelling on what went wrong, name three things that went right.

It’s a simple shift that can help reframe your perspective.
Your thoughts and emotions matter—but what you do with them is up to you.

You are resilient, capable, and worthy of seeing the full picture—not just the flaws. 💪

It boosts their vocabulary, language development, recognize sounds and have the ability to recognize letters. Children that are introduced to books and reading at a young age tend to excel in school due to early literacy skills.

We would like to thank our sponsors for their generous support in getting this program off the ground. Without your support we would not be able to bring this wonderful program to our community and give our children the head start they deserve.

PBS Wisconsin, Emplify Health Gundersen Boscobel, CESA 3, Southwest Cap Headstart, Connected for Good, Reach Out and Read Wisconsin, WI Alliance for Infant Mental Health, Southwest WI Library System, Riverdale School District, Woodland Friends Child Care, Wilkinson Auction, Riverdale Ag Service, Avoca Kids Club, Classics Pizza LLC, Meister Cheese and Culvers.
