Making a nature bracelet is a great way to get outside and explore! This no setup, hands-on learning activity works on visual scanning, sustained attention, communication, creativity, teamwork, and problem solving. It is also a great movement activity!

Hello to all of our friends! 👋 We hope this message finds you safe and well! We wanted to update everyone that we are planning to abide by Governor Edwards' Stay at Home Order extended until May 15 with plans to reopen Monday, May 18th! 🤞 We will keep you updated with any new information. We miss our clinic, our staff, our clients, and our families and can't wait to get back to doing what we love!

Everything is changing every day. Most things have become more inconvenient by the minute. Our new normal for this season can be frustrating, exhausting, and stressful. Everything feels a little topsy turvy for all of us right now, but some of our community have to experience all of this without being able to see or hug the people they love.

Today our friends colored and decorated cards to send to our friends at Holy Angels! Our clients are hard at work to spread a little extra love and light in a difficult time away from family and friends. This is how we make it through. We take care of each other. We show up for each other, however we can. We pull together instead of letting this drive us apart. At Janey Macey, we believe in being the change we wish to see in the world.

To All JM&A Parents:

We are writing this letter to assure you of our actions to address the current situation with COVID-19 (“Coronavirus”). We have a professional cleaning crew that comes to our clinic at the end of each work day and thoroughly disinfects all areas with special focus on our kitchen, bathrooms, and the gross motor gym. We will continue to make sure this is done with even more focus to ensure clean and disinfected working areas. We also are making sure that all of our therapists have easy access to items such as Clorox Wipes to use throughout the day to keep their workspaces sanitary.

We strive to maintain the health and safety of our clients and work family. At this time we are planning to remain open, regardless of any school closures, in order to continue to serve the therapy needs of our clients. If any unforeseeable circumstances arise and this changes, we will contact you as soon as possible.

What an amazing opportunity for our Mommas that often don’t get the chance to take advantage of most parent night out programs! ☔️Just because it’s raining outside doesn’t mean the party’s over at Janey Macey! Our therapists aren’t afraid of a little mess when there’s fun to be had! ☔️

This afternoon some of our ABA Therapy friends practiced maintaining eye contact with peers, parallel play, interactive play, taking turns, and stopping to listen and follow directions. So much hard work all hidden in a bubble dance party! The best kind of work is when you don’t even realize you’re working!
