Look who's back at it! Our very own Dianna is once again doing an awesome job representing LACG at this year's Louisiana Counseling Association's (LCA) conference in Baton Rouge.
What a fantastic turnout! It's incredibly encouraging to see so many of our dedicated mental health professionals taking the time to update their skills and learn about the latest news and statistics. That commitment to improving care for our communities is truly inspiring and makes my heart happy!
If you're at the conference, be sure to drop by and say hi to Dianna! She'd love a quick chat.

We had an amazing and productive visit with the team at the Ward 3 Marshal's office this past Friday!
A huge shout-out goes to Marshal Nathaniel Keller for his passion and commitment. He's a true advocate, working hard to spread the word that hope is available through the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
We were so impressed to see that the Ward 3 office has all 26 of their vehicles labeled with the 988 stickers. This is a fantastic public-facing effort!
We were happy to lend a hand, and with the help of Kevin Reeves, we got to assist with adding the final few stickers to their fleet.

Check out the excellent news coverage provided by Brendan Brown KPLC Also, be on the lookout for a follow-up post soon with our own pictures and video footage from the visit!

"In this time of day there should be no reason for any of us not to be able to get help." -- Marshall Nate Keller

Last month, we attended the Open House Ice Cream Social 🍦🍪🍦 at the Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse of NWLA. We toured their Bossier Treatment Center, which offers specialized care for women, tailored programs for men, and treatments designed for teenagers, addressing the unique challenges each group faces. It was a great experience!🥰🥰🥰

Our wonderful Dianna has been making a positive impact once again! Recently, she visited inmates at CCC to offer her support. She truly embodies the spirit of LACG, and her dedication shines through. Here’s a glimpse of her thoughts from the experience.

"This photo was from a Job Readiness Workshop at CCC Reentry Facility at 1121 Forum Drive, Shreveport, LA. It was held on August 28, 2025. Kayla Cryer from Goodwill Industries of North Louisiana needed volunteers for mock interviews for inmates who were going to be released soon, so that they can have the experience they need when they are being interviewed for a job.
There were about 6 of us, including me, who volunteered to help her with this event. There were about 40 inmates that the 6 of us interviewed and helped.
I felt compassion for the inmates and helped because I was trying to break the cycle of repeated incarceration due to lack of skills. This event was great!
Building bridges with Goodwill is a great accomplishment. I was glad to help."
