Our classrooms were filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of love as we celebrated our Valentine’s Day parties at The Little School Academy! The children enjoyed sharing treats, exchanging valentines, and spending time celebrating friendship and kindness with their classmates.

We love opportunities like this that remind our children how important it is to care for one another, share joy, and build friendships that make our school feel like family.

As it says in 1 Corinthians 16:14,
“Let all that you do be done in love.”

Thank you to our wonderful families for helping make the day so special for our students. We are grateful for the love and support that fills our classrooms each day.

The Little School Academy would like to take a moment to recognize Ashley as she prepares to begin a new chapter in her life. Her last day with us will be this Friday, and we are thankful for the care, time, and dedication she has shared with our children and families during her time here.

While we will miss her, we are excited for what lies ahead and pray that her next steps are filled with growth, joy, and success.

As it says in Jeremiah 29:11,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

And in Numbers 6:24–26,
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.”

Please join us in wishing Ashley well as she moves forward. She will always be part of The Little School Academy family.

🐾 Special Visitors at The Little School Academy 🐾

We had the wonderful privilege of welcoming the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux to The Little School Academy! Our children and staff truly enjoyed the visit and loved getting to see the festive spirit of Mardi Gras shared in such a fun and joyful way.

Moments like these remind us how special it is to be part of a community that takes time to bring smiles to our children’s faces. We are so thankful for those who give their time to spread happiness and create memories our little ones will talk about long after the beads are gone.

Thank you again to the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux for visiting us and sharing your kindness with our school. We appreciate you and wish everyone a safe and happy Mardi Gras season!

Good morning, Little School Family!

Today is the Mighty Krewe of Centaur Parade! I have proudly been a member of this Krewe for 15 years. Last year, I decided to become a sponsor. While many of you may already know this, my decision was about much more than just today’s parade. Throughout the year, this Krewe gives back to the community and supports many important causes — from toy drives for children to helping local food banks and so much more.

If you can’t make it to the parade today, you can watch it on KSLA. If you are attending, be sure to look for our sponsor name, take pictures, and have an amazing time! The weather is beautiful today, so please stay safe. My family and I hope to see our Little School Family out there enjoying the festivities. Be sure to send us pictures — we love seeing them!

If you can’t attend today’s parade, I will also be participating in the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux Pet Parade. My dog, Sadie, is the Royal Princess this year, and we absolutely love being part of this organization. This Krewe also gives back to our community by raising awareness for animals who do not have a voice. We support shelters, foster animal homes, visit the Ochsner Pediatrics floor to brighten children’s days, and visit nursing homes to give residents special time with animals they may miss dearly. This year, we also awarded two scholarships to students pursuing education in animal-related fields.

Come out and see us Sunday! The gates open at 11:00 AM, and the parade begins at 2:00 PM. Bring your pets — this is a wonderful, family-friendly event! Stop by, say hello, and grab some goodies.

This is truly my favorite time of the year, and I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.
