Happy New Year 2026 from Expectant Blessings LLC Elective Ultrasound Studio. A new year is upon us, and I want to take a brief moment to make some announcements.
First, Expectant Blessings is going into our FOURTH year! I can not believe how fast time has gone by, and I want to shout an enormous thank you to my customers, their families, and my own family, who have been a huge part of this adventure since we opened!
Second, I would like to reintroduce myself: My name is Heather, my official title is Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or RDMS. I have been a sonographer for going on 9 years, and 6 of those years have been spent specializing in OBGYN in one capacity or another. I enjoy my job, as it challenges me to keep a sharp eye, use my critical thinking skills, and introduces me to some of the greatest people ever! The "thing" I love most about what I do is that I get to share in one of the most treasured experiences we humans have. The Bible tells us that children are a heritage, a gift; and I get to have a front row seat to watching families grow and celebrate that gift. It is truly an honor!
Finally, when I first started Expectant Blessings, my goal was to offer the families in my community an affordable option to experience seeing their unborn baby with the cool technology available to us. I realized quickly that I also wanted to offer a comfortable and unique experience for not only moms and dads, but siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, etc. While those goals haven't changed, time and experience have added new goals. This past year, I had the opportunity to open my business to some local high school students interested in a healthcare career. This year has shown me that what is most fulfilling is helping others. Whether that be by a mom coming in for "peace of mind", a high school student wanting to shadow or ask some questions about my job, being flexible so an out-of-town family member can see the baby, partnering with other small and local businesses, or sharing resources I have come across that may be helpful. All of this while also being able to help and serve the people in my life that are at the top of my priorities: my husband and children. God is good!
I am looking forward to all that God has in store for Expectant Blessings this year. I have some exciting new things to announce in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned! Here's to 2026! ✨
