Meet Rutuja Zawar, MS (she/her) 💛

Rutuja creates a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore emotions, release shame, and reconnect with their strengths. Her relational, goal-oriented style blends mindfulness, interactive skill-building, and compassionate dialogue to support healing, growth, and deeper self-understanding.

As a South Asian therapist and immigrant, Rutuja is passionate about working with multicultural communities, women of color, and anyone navigating identity, anxiety, or life transitions. She believes every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and fully accepted.

Outside of work, Rutuja enjoys dancing, cooking, and discovering cozy Boston coffee shops, always with an iced latte in hand!

Meet Virginia!

Virginia Anderson, MSW (she/her/hers), joins CICA as a pre-licensed psychotherapist in September 2025. With curiosity, compassion, and a client-centered approach, Virginia creates a non-judgmental and empathic space where clients can explore challenges, aspirations, and everything in between.

Her practice is rooted in attachment and psychodynamic therapies, while remaining flexible to meet each client’s unique needs. Virginia’s lived experience as a Black pans*xual woman with experience in s*x work and non-monogamy deeply informs her work, helping her support BIPOC, LGBTQ+/TGNC, neurodivergent, polyamorous, kinky, and alternative lifestyle communities. She specializes in anxiety, complex trauma/PTSD, s*xuality and s*xual exploration, grief, and relationships.

“Therapy is here to create space to understand, honor and grow into all that you are. In our work together, you are invited to come as you are and my role is to walk alongside you as you discover what healing looks like for you.” — Virginia Anderson

Outside the therapy room, Virginia enjoys cheating at board games, feeding her friends, and napping in their beds!

EMDR therapy helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. By addressing how memories are stored in the brain, EMDR can reduce distress and support long-term recovery. 💚

At CICA, our clinicians are specially trained in EMDR and provide a safe, supportive environment to guide you through the healing process. You don’t have to carry the weight of trauma alone, healing is possible.

If you’re interested in trying EMDR therapy, reach out to us! We’d be honored to help you find the therapist who’s the right fit for you.

Meet Vion!

Vion He, M. Phil. Ed., MS Ed. (she/her/hers), joins CICA as a pre-licensed psychotherapist. With a warm, collaborative, and authentic approach, Vion supports clients navigating anxiety & depression, gender/s*xuality/LGBTQ+ issues, and life transitions.

Having moved to the U.S. from Fujian, China at 17, Vion brings deep lived and professional experience to her work centering care around cultural identity, generational transitions, and the unique stories of Asian-American communities, emerging adults, LGBTQIA+ folks, and international students. Her practice is grounded in multicultural, feminist, and collaborative frameworks that honor the whole person.

Vion draws from CBT, DBT, Relational-Cultural Therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and creative tools like writing, art, and play to help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Outside the therapy room, Vion enjoys creative writing, collage, and collecting beautiful mugs—though she somehow always ends up using the same one!
