The top 3 supplements we recommend for diminished ovarian reserve (DOR):

⇢ CoQ10
⇢ Vitamin D
⇢ Magnesium

And, don’t forget to focus on the quality of the foods you consume! Based on Chinese Medicine, we always recommend that you try to eat warm, cooked meals, and avoid eating anything raw and cold.

P.S. These tips can also apply to *both* partners who are working on their fertility.

While it's such a tiny muscle compared to your other glute muscles, the piriformis muscle can cause pain, tingling, or numbness and can be irritating after sitting, standing, or walking too much.

It's responsible for many of the common aches & pains we see!

Did you know that you have access to BOTH acupuncturists and chiropractors in our Back Bay space? We can collaborate on your treatment with our friends at to address your piriformis pain and *much* more.

Why do you needle my toe when my head hurts?!

Sometimes the acupuncture points we choose to use in your treatment may not seem to make sense... why is that?

When we choose which points to needle, our goal is to balance the relationship between all acupuncture points available AND the points that would target your healing process most effectively.

If you're wondering why we chose a certain point for you, just ask! We love to share how acupuncture works with our patients 🤓

What actually happens during an acupuncture appointment? You may be surprised to learn that it’s much more than just needles!

We address every patient’s physical, mental, AND emotional health — so we’ll take time to get to know you before we begin, and your treatment may include an adjunctive technique such as cupping, gua sha, moxa, and more.

You can expect to spend 45-55 minutes with us for each follow-up visit, so come prepared to relax!

Fertility issues are not your fault, so let go of any guilt associated with this process if you can.

Women are told their whole lives to avoid getting pregnant and then *p**f* suddenly you are supposed to get off birth control and have 10 babies instantly!

While your family planning journey might now be different than you had originally thought, you are not alone and there are many steps to help you on your journey... including acupuncture!

We're here to support you—physically and emotionally—throughout your fertility journey 💖

Hehehe... but seriously, while it may seem like we place the needles in the most random places (forehead? ear?? big toe???), every needle placement is intentionally selected to support your healing.

In fact, there are thousands of years of history and a complex diagnosis system behind where we decide to place your acupuncture needles!

We try to balance the relationship between all of the acupuncture points available throughout your body AND which ones would target your healing process most efficiently.

This means we may needle the troublesome area directly depending on your complaint, and we may also place needles pretty far away from that area, too.

So yes, every acupuncture needle has a point 😉

We're excited to welcome Ali as our new front desk manager in Cohasset!

Reese is moving to the front desk in Back Bay, so make sure you give a warm welcome to both Ali and Reese in their new roles ☺️

Here are some fun facts about Ali:
- Favorite food: Pizza 🍕
- What you enjoy about Acupuncture: I love acupuncture because not only does it have so many physical benefits, it personally helps me feel more balanced and relaxed in my daily life—it's like a total reset for my body and mind.
- Favorite book: This is hard. Tie between The Silent Patient + my current obsession, the Fourth Wing series.
- What you do in your down time: I love to read, hike, ski, cook, bake sourdough, go on walks with my husband and corgi, Winston, and enjoy the beach with friends anytime of year!
- Fun fact about you: In a prior job I worked for a global education nonprofit and traveled to Guatemala over 20 times.
- Spirit animal: Probably a dolphin 🐬 because I am truly my happiest and best version of myself when I am near or on the water.
