I enjoy researching relationships and love. Observing my own romantic partnership and those unfolding all around me. There’s something so interesting about witnessing the dance between the two Divines… from moments of deep disconnection to those delicate teeterings toward balance.

Lately, a recurring theme keeps surfacing in discussions: the men are not okay. 🥺

Rather than judging, I’ve been sitting with it, trying to understand what’s unfolding across the collective.

And before my dear brothers throw things at me…this clearly doesn’t apply to all. But it’s worth having the awareness.

What I do know is this: for better or worse, the feminine is rising. Energies are shifting.

It’s disorienting…not just for the masculine, but also for those being called to hold and steward this sacred transition.

The invitation:
Root.even.deeper.

Be easy with yourselves and each other. 🤍

I traveled to Egypt with my family shortly after my mom passed. I knew it would be a place of depth, healing, and astonishment…exactly what I needed at that time.

Six months earlier, I had done a Panchakarma in India that actually left me depleted and in a vata imbalance. Going to a hot desert in that state wasn’t the best idea. The dry heat pushed that vata imbalance into a full-blown pitta imbalance! I became inflamed, puffy, swollen, and developed chalazions on my eyelids. None of it was expected.

But like Ayurveda teaches us: trial and error, observe and learn.

One piece of wisdom I brought home from Egypt, which I now share with my clients, came from seeing the mummies of King Ramesses and Queen Nefertari (not pictured, as photos weren’t allowed). I could see Ramesses’ skin and lips, and Queen Nefertari’s intricate black braids. I was blown away 🤯

These were humans from an ancient civilization. When I asked the Egyptologist how their bodies were preserved in such remarkable condition, the answer was simple…oil and herbs 🍃 😮

Oil, alone or infused with the right herbs, is profoundly medicinal. It protects, lubricates, buffers, softens, and most importantly, calms excess vata. It’s also a beauty secret! 🤫

In Ayurveda school they said, “Oil your body every day. It will change your life.” I brushed it off at the time. 🙂‍↕️

But after graduating from YTT with an injured lower back and ankle, I finally turned to oil. The pain disappeared, and I was back on my mat three days later.

Since then, I’ve oiled my body every single day. And yes, it changed my life 😏

Not sure which oil to use? Let me help you. I know all the good ones! 💛

It was such a joy to see my friends at again this year at the and to give Anisha a big hug!! 💛

Since meeting them last year, my homes and morning sadhanas have been filled with the divine scent of their incense. The quality is unmatched, hand-rolled with care, love, and deep reverence.

They even graciously supplied the tent with their Rain blend which we all loved!! 🫶🏽

As Pitta season approaches, the calming and grounding aromas of rose, sandalwood, lavender, holy basil, and more help me begin each day with intention and bring a wave of nostalgia from the motherland. 🇮🇳

Thank you, Anisha, for sharing your sacred offerings 🌺 ✨

I met the incredible creators of this week at the 💫

As I walked past their tent, I heard one word that stopped me in my tracks: “Saunf” they both said! Saunf is the Hindi word for fennel, a traditional digestive used after meals. It’s a mix of fennel seeds, digestive spices, and a touch of sweetness. So delicious and so refreshing! 🍃

With such Desi kindness and hospitality they invited me to try their offerings which were so beautiful presented. Along with a cup of hot, home made masala chai and good convo. My kind of folks! 💛

Growing up, my family always had some version of saunf in the house. Not only does it support digestion, but it also freshens your breath 👍🏽

As someone who’s rooted in Ayurveda and someone who hasn’t chewed gum in years, I always carry a small jar of fennel and cardamom seeds in my purse to chew on after meals. IYKYK! 😝

What Arif and Sabeen have created is a beautiful modern twist on this ancient Ayurvedic remedy. Their blends are sweetened with local maple syrup, merging South Asian roots with a Hudson Valley touch. It’s right up my alley! 🙏🏽

I’ll be swapping out my jar for their adorable tins that make the signature chikka chikka sound when you shake them! 💥

To all my Desi friends, non-Desi friends, and anyone into Ayurveda, this is a must-have. You’ll thank me later 🙌🏽

📿 Moksha 📿

This past week I was summoned for jury duty, something I hoped would be brief. The idea of sitting still for hours in a windowless room, removed from my daily rituals, felt really unnatural. As someone who deeply values Moksha (freedom and liberation) it was a visceral reminder of how much we can crave spaciousness when it’s suddenly taken away.

When I was finally called to speak before the judge and attorneys, the first thing the judge noted was that Kripalu, which was on my questionnaire and the place where I serve, had just been featured in the Boston Globe. That small recognition created an opening 🧡

Then came the real question: “Would your beliefs interfere with your ability to be impartial in this trial?”
My answer was clear: Yes. I practice Ahimsa, non-violence, at the heart of Yoga and Ayurveda. The case involved a firearm-related charge, something fundamentally out of alignment with this principle.

In Ayurveda, we are guided by the four Purusharthas, or aims of human life:
✨ Dharma: living with integrity and purpose
💰 Artha: the pursuit of livelihood and stability
❤️ K**a: enjoyment, love, and pleasure
🕊️ Moksha: ultimate liberation, freedom from suffering

That courtroom moment illuminated each of them for me:
Dharma -speaking my truth rooted in Ahimsa
Artha -navigating my responsibilities in society
K**a -acknowledging how my joy and health are tied to rhythm, ritual, and nature
Moksha - recognizing how confinement, literal or energetic, can stifle the soul

This dance between worldly duty and spiritual clarity is never black and white. But Ayurveda reminds us that we can move through the world with intention, even in a courtroom.

Needless to say, I was excused and able to go home and teach my virtual workshop and see clients the following day 🙏🏽

Western medicine is just beginning to highlight the importance of gut health, speaking about the microbiome as if Ayurveda hasn’t honored the power of digestion for over 5,000 years 👀

So many of my clients experience gas, bloating, IBS, heartburn, and constipation. Some aren’t even having a daily bowel movement. But here’s the thing…we eat every day, right? So naturally, we should be eliminating every day too! 💩

When digestion is off, it doesn’t just stay in the gut. It can lead to sluggishness, abdominal discomfort, skin imbalances, weight gain, hormonal issues, and deeper states of dis-ease.

Join me for a refreshing, holistic look at your gut through the lens of Ayurveda 🍃

I keep it simple, practical, and rooted in wisdom you already carry.

I’m teaching a virtual workshop with on Ayurveda & Digestive Health Monday May 19th at 5pm EST and I’d love for you to join me 🧡
