🔹Blue Gems uses Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on the science of learning and behavior, and is commonly practiced as a therapeutic intervention for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ABA helps the individual improve social interactions, learn new skills, and maintain positive behaviors. ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works in real situations.

We’ve partnered with Mobley's Shoes - Est. 1950 to host a sensory-friendly shoe shopping event for kids who may struggle with the noise, crowds, or rush of a typical store - especially those on the autism spectrum.

Back-to-school shopping shouldn’t feel overwhelming. This event is designed to be calm, supportive, and tailored to your child’s needs.

Blue Gems ABA Therapy was proud to partner with Kipp Omaha in honor of Autism Acceptance Day — a day dedicated to promoting inclusion, understanding, and celebrating neurodiversity.

We were grateful for the opportunity to engage with the community and create a meaningful space for education and connection.

We’d also like to extend our sincere thanks to Shannon Batchelder for her incredible work in organizing this event and representing Blue Gems ABA so beautifully in her interview with KETV Nebraska News.

Partnerships like this allow us to further our mission of fostering acceptance and creating supportive environments for all individuals.

April kicked off National autism acceptance month. A month that looks to honor and support those on the spectrum.

Today is Autism Acceptance Day, and for us, it’s about more than just spreading awareness—it’s about truly listening, learning, and making sure every child and family we serve feels seen and supported.

At Blue Gems ABA Therapy, we meet incredible kids every day—kids with their own strengths, challenges, and ways of seeing the world. Acceptance means making space for them to be who they are, without trying to fit them into a mold. It means supporting families, advocating for inclusion, and breaking down barriers that shouldn’t exist in the first place.

A huge thank you to our amazing BCBAs, RBTs, and the entire Blue Gems team who show up every day with passion and dedication. Your work changes lives, and your impact is felt in every session, every breakthrough, and every moment of connection.

Acceptance isn’t just about today. It’s in the little things—how we approach conversations, how we create opportunities, and how we make sure that every person, regardless of ability, feels valued.
