Dr. Belinda Dickie, Dr. Erin McNamara, and nurse practitioner Paula Cruz from our center recently traveled to Taiwan to share their insight with Dr. Jonathan Wei and his colleagues while working together to perform surgical repairs on several patients. “Your approach is vastly different from what we are doing right now,” he explains. “It will take some time to practice, but it’s ultimately the direction we want to take for these children.”

But the experience wasn’t a one-way street. Wei and his colleagues host a camp aimed at strengthening patients’ bodies and minds, which the Boston Children’s Hospital team is eager to replicate. “Our ongoing collaboration is truly a knowledge exchange,” says Cruz.
