Charting New Horizons: The Legacy of LifeChamps project

We are thrilled to share a significant milestone in our journey: the successful completion of the LifeChamps-H2020 project concluding with the final European Commission's review! 🚀 This accomplishment stands as a testament to the dedication and collaboration of each individual involved.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all participants who graciously opened their homes for three months, as well as our esteemed partners across 10 countries. Your unwavering support has been the driving force behind our achievements. 🤝

Throughout the LifeChamps project, our innovative tech solution and real-life pilots have allowed us to amass a wealth of invaluable data:
- Over 31 million records 📊
- 390K records of Fitbit data 💪
- 780K records of indoor ambulation data 🚶‍♂️
- 800K records of TV usage patterns 📺
- 3000 PROM self-reports 📝

This abundance of knowledge holds the promise of transformative discoveries beyond the confines of our project. 🌐 We are eager to explore how this data can be repurposed to fuel future breakthroughs in healthcare and well-being.

On November 15th, 2023, the LifeChamps-H2020 project, represented by the AUTH partner, and particularly by the Research Fellow Despoina Mantziari, actively participated in the AHL Conference in Napoli. They presented at a poster session, highlighting AUTH’s cancer-related projects and Living Lab methodologies while among the showcased case studies was the LifeChamps project. The presentation was titled “Accelerating the Impact of Digital Healthcare Delivery Models for Cancer Patients through Living Labs”

Our poster on "Experiences of a supportive digital platform for older cancer survivors" received incredible recognition and sparked valuable discussions.

The inclusion of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology ( ) on our advisory board, and the guidance provided by President Dr.Nicolò Matteo Luca Battisti, have been invaluable in shaping our journey. This conference was a hub of collaboration, shaping the future of geriatric oncology.
