We are proud to have a member of our population health team (Jersey E.) present at the 10th annual BMC Quality Improvement and Patient Safety poster presentation last month. Since October 2024 Jersey has been leading a QI project at GRMDC aimed at expanding access to Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening for men aged 65–75 with a history of smoking. This initiative was a true team effort, involving collaboration across clinical staff and primary care clinicians. Together, we successfully integrated AAA screening directly into the primary care setting, improving accessibility for patients. Since implementation, our screening uptake rate has increased by 19.7%, surpassing our original goal of 15%.
