Today is World Lymphedema Day 💙

A day to raise awareness, support those living with lymphedema, and remind the world that this condition deserves more understanding, research, and care.

For millions of people, lymphedema is a daily journey of resilience, strength, and self-advocacy.

I became a lymphedema therapist to help support my mom, and developed for her and my wonderful patients to give them tools at home to improve lymph flow and manage this chronic condition.

Over the years I have developed countless resources, and programs to support the lymphatic community.

Did you know 👇🏽🤯🧐📖

• 1 in 7 moms experience postpartum depression
• 10–20% experience postpartum anxiety (probably WAY higher!!)
• Up to 50% deal with pelvic floor dysfunction after birth (how could you not?!)
• 30% report urinary incontinence
• Only 25–30% are exclusively breastfeeding at 6 months (which I know first hand is not for a lack of trying!!)
• 20% experience mastitis (ouch)
• 30–40% deal with clogged ducts or breast pain (I’m sure this statistic is way more as well)

And this is just what has been reported, so as you could imagine these numbers are probably much, much higher. 📈

Manual lymphatic drainage and gentle lymph‑supportive movement can be so critical at this time. (I know because I’m currently living in this experience!!)
