Postpartum Doula Services DONA trained Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Expert, Certified BLS/CPR in adult, child & infant My passion for baby care was clear since I was a child.

My name is Trisha LaMorte, I am a mom of three and live in Milford with my husband and children. We also have two fur babies named Zeke and Cami, and the littles have two cats named Princess and King. I have been effectively “mothering” anyone I could since I learned to play house. I was born in Minnesota and raised on a farm in Western Massachusetts. I’ve always had a passion for babies and the l

ittle ones in the neighborhood. I started babysitting around twelve years old and became a full-time, live-in nanny at 18. I was fortunate to have that first family be my family! My Aunt gave birth to 27 week premature triplets in March of 1998. Taking care of my three new cousins was a whole new challenge with all the specialized care that went into their daily routines. I subsequently nannied for many other families throughout the years before becoming a PCA at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. During my time at the hospital I worked as part of an inpatient/hospital unit, performing a variety of routine direct patient care, environmental and administrative support activities to promote the health, safety and comfort of pediatric patients and their families. Upon relocating to the Boston area I was very fortunate to nanny for one last family when I took care of their first son starting around three months old and then welcomed his little brother into the family just twelve months later! I stayed with them until I was ready to have my second baby in 2014. It was my own postpartum experiences with my second and third babies that made me more keenly aware of the need to promote better support for postpartum mothers and families. I am thrilled to be able to support new families through this extraordinary time. I will use my skills to create a multifaceted postpartum support plan for your growing family’s needs. I will care for you and your family so you may focus on important things like resting and recovering from birth, bonding with your new baby, and gaining your footing as a new parent. I am a DONA Trained Postpartum Doula. I am also Red Cross certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

🩺 How does the group practice operate?

🩺 Will I be talking with a doctor when I call with a question?

🩺 What is the pediatrician's hospital affiliation?

🩺 Does your office have breastfeeding support, including the services of a certified lactation consultant?

When I was living with untreated postpartum depression...

I believed I made a horrible mistake becoming a parent.

I believed I was a failure.

I believed I was a burden.

I believed I was a bad mom.

Here's the thing: postpartum depression is a liar.

I am not any of those things. I didn't make a mistake. I'm not failing. I'm not a burden. And I'm a great mom. But PPD has a way of making you feel as if all those lies are deeply true, and that the symptoms are who you are and not simply symptoms of a mood disorder.

Don't believe the lies PPD tells you. You're not a bad parent. You are perfectly enough, just as you are 💕

Join us for our online support group for parents of high needs babies!

Led by trained peer facilitators, this group is for parents of “high need” newborns to 12-month-old babies. All babies have needs and depend on their caregivers, yet some babies have more needs than others. “High needs baby” is not a medical term or diagnosis, but it is a term used to describe babies with some of these characteristics: constant crying (for several hours in a row), difficult to soothe, and easily overstimulated. A highly sensitive or high-needs baby might not sleep without being held, might cry for three hours every evening, or might get restless and frustrated when transitioning from one environment to another. We know that parents of “colicky” or high-needs babies can feel isolated, exhausted, and overwhelmed. You are not alone, and we are here to help. Crying babies are welcome too!
